I lay on the floor
Utterly motionless
Barely breathing
Barely thinking
So still
___
My eyes stare out
Full of blue
Open mouth
Open heart
Beating softly
____
Your words surround
Flying above me
Ever circling
Ever cawing
Fearful and ugly
___
My skin is smooth
Reflecting the light
I feel nothing
I feel nothing
It doesn't matter.
___
I won't let you in
I block you out
As best I can
As you whisper
Words I must not hear
_____
I can't move
I can't speak
I must be still
I must be blank
Or I will
_____
Break
