Rainbow
---
You say that you love rainbows?
Then let me show you mine
---
---
Red
Red, the color of blood.
The blood that runs through my veins
Staining the pure white floor.
--
Orange
Orange, the hue of the sky at dusk
As the sun sets,
And another long, haunted night begins.
---
Yellow
Yellow, sickly sweet and cheery
Like the smile on your face
Pretending you've done nothing wrong.
---
Green
Green, damp moss beneath my fingers.
Cool fresh breeze, through green trees.
My only comfort.
---
Blue
Blue water streaming down my face.
Washing away the grime and pain
But not the scars.
---
Purple
Purple shadows, dark and deep
Hiding me from your rampage,
Letting me slip away.
---
---
You say that you love rainbows?
Then let me show you mine.
Maybe then you'll see
That what you do
Is not alright.

PoetryUPDATE: I wrote these when I was 13 and depressed all the time. I'm 18 now, and, fortunately, life's been going well! Unfortunately, these poems are fairly cringe, so read at your own risk. Just some poems that I write when I'm in the poetic mood...
