It rains in Paradise
It rains in Paradise and
Smells like fog and early morning
And the grass is always damp
And the air is fresh and clean
And the sky is grey and cloudy
It's quiet in Paradise
Filled with a light grey light
And small creatures
And the ocean crashes against the rocks
And the seagulls cry
It's open in Paradise
Open and free
And there's nobody around
No buildings, no bars, no neon lights
No limousines and sweaty hands
And there are no tears
none
And no touching
And no pain
No laughter
No contempt
No worries
No cares
No thoughts
Just me
And the sea
And the rain

PoetryUPDATE: I wrote these when I was 13 and depressed all the time. I'm 18 now, and, fortunately, life's been going well! Unfortunately, these poems are fairly cringe, so read at your own risk. Just some poems that I write when I'm in the poetic mood...
