I think it's funny how
You walk around with your nose in the air
You flaunt your wealth
Your popularity
Side-stepping every obstacle
With a charming smile
I thinks it's funny how
You claim to speak for "the masses"
Laugh at us for our simplicity
Our constant bickering
You speak of how you escaped it
(thank goodness *winning chuckle*)
And how you try to help us
Help
You
I think it's funny how
You move and shift with the stars
Always cheerful, honest, perfect
How you keep moving up
Talking about how it's all you've ever wanted
Never a bad word to anyone
(On the screen)
I think it's funny how
You try so hard to be above it all
Invincible, stunning
The model of a human
An idol
A god
------------------
When in reality
I know
And you know
You're just as screwed up
As everyone else

Scratching the Surface (Poems)
PoetryUPDATE: I wrote these when I was 13 and depressed all the time. I'm 18 now, and, fortunately, life's been going well! Unfortunately, these poems are fairly cringe, so read at your own risk. Just some poems that I write when I'm in the poetic mood...
