You lost your head again today. 

Screamed at me 

Desperation and worry turned to rage. 

I know what you want. 

You want me to speak again. 

You want me to laugh again. 

You want me to be me again. 

You thunder on, 

Voice cracking, 

Begging me to say something.

But I turn my face away 

Numb to your screams. 

Wondering why you even bother 

Anymore.

'Cause nobody's here. 

Nobody's home

Just a husk, 

Just a mask 

In a corner all alone.

I know you're mad. 

So just go. 

I'm not gonna answer anyways. 

Sometimes, I wish I could tell you 

Tell you everything. 

Let you in on that night 

That moment. 

That unspeakable tragedy. 

The one thing 

That tore my world apart.

But my lips are shut 

And my soul is all 

Burned out.

Nobody's here. 

Nobody cares. 

I'm not who I was 

Before.

The friend that you're looking for 

Is dead. 

The one you miss is gone. 

Long gone.

I know we're both sick of me 

Trapped in my head. 

But I can't escape 

I've tried before.

So stop your fruitless attempts, 

And just walk away. 

There's nobody here to listen. 

It'll take a weight off your chest. 

No more stress. 

Just leave me alone.

I kind of like the silence
