What do you think? Good cover? Bad cover?
------------------
He comes at the most inconvenient times
Draping himself over my shoulders,
With a damp sigh
His hands over my chest
His breath on my neck
His hair falling over my face
And into my eyes.
His body weighs me down
His breath hisses into my ear
Low murmurers of things I don't want to think about
His fingers twisting into my shirt
Pressing down on my heart
He's very inconsistent
Changing his mind every few minutes
Asking me to speak
Begging me to be quiet
Whispering his secret desires
His crippling fears
He wanders off, but finds his way back
Leaning on my shoulder
Clinging to my hand
Lying on my bed, like an old friend
Planting his longing in my heart
Sending his shadows my way
-----------
I used to love him
My only friend
Now I just wish
I could let him go.
Let him find some other kid
To latch onto.
I'm so tired of carrying his weight
