It wasn't the most typical thing for you and the boys to catch up on things, though you always did anyways every Friday (or at least it seemed like every other Friday). It was rare to say that things had indeed changed. No one really hung out as much, like usual. Everyone was too busy with work or school, some even paying too much attention to their girlfriends. And being the only girl, it got kinda boring. Often spending time with other greaser girls from school who seemed cool, but, not that it made any difference. But, it took this certain Friday night... a night that would change your life forever.

"Alright, hands up, everyone." Said Ponyboy, who seemed to be in a rush with a stern face as he did not want to play games tonight.

"C'mon, which one of you has 'em?" He began to grow more frustrated than he already was.

"What is it, Ponyboy?" Said Sodapop, who obviously had no clue as to what was happening.

"The tickets. The two tickets that were here on the table a few minutes ago." Said Ponyboy, raising his voice just a tad higher.

"Why do you need them so badly?" Asked Darry, stuffing his face full of popcorn just then.

"I'm taking Audrey to the drive in for our date tonight. Not that it's our first, but..." Ponyboy groaned. "Just give 'em to me, guys."

Two-bit chuckled lightly since he couldn't help himself from not laughing.

"You ever heard this thing called double check?" Asked Two-bit in a cocky sort of fashion to Ponyboy.

"Yeah, buddy. What about it?" Ponyboy spat these words towards Two-bit in a cold way.

"Just thought you'd be smart enough to have double checked your pockets." Two-bit gave a shrug and took a quick swig of his beer.

"Huh?" Ponyboy's hand wandered down to his right pocket, feeling the paper like card sticking out about half way.

The gang laughed all so suddenly when Ponyboy realized he put the tickets in his pocket so that he didn't have to run into the situation of forgetting the tickets. Ponyboy grew quite and stomped outside quickly. He was gone and had went to pick up Audrey.

And then there were 6 of you.

"Alright. Let's play." Said Dallas who began to start the game of poker that would never get finished and had never been finished.

This was a nightmare! It was a repeat of the last Friday night. Or the Friday before that? Ah, who cares.

To solve the matter, so to speak, you checked yourself into the living room where you were away from everyone else, only to find another little birdy sat upon the couch.

It was Johnny. Right, of course!

"Hey, Y/N." Said Johnny in a soft tone as he looked your way.

"Hearing those words is like heaven from above. It's been too long since I heard a hey or hi around here." You sat beside Johnny who had made room for you, though the both of you didn't even take up half of the couch.

"Doin' okay? Wait.. don't answer that. I get it. Everyone's completely changed and to me... it looks like you're not taking into this change very well, huh?" A sweet and soft chuckle escaped Johnny's lips, quick to shake your head in agreement.

"It's not fair. Everyone's growing up and moving on. Where has the time gone?" You sighed, laying your head back now looking to the roof.

"That rhymed." Johnny laughed once more thought you didn't really find it funny (he was quick to realize this).

"Johnny... C'mon, be serious." You pleaded. Only wanting someone to talk with who'd understand like all the guys did then. Heck! Even Two-bit!

That night you let everything inside of you spill out like a river streaming on and on. Johnny listened and listened, the only noise that could be heard was the sounds of snoring. Darry had went to bed a bit early that night. But a drunk Two-bit, a wore out Sodapop and Steve, and a beat Dallas who's heads laid upon the table didn't move a muscle as they were fast and deep into sleep.

That night Ponyboy came home exhausted as could be, dragging himself to the room with all his might and went without shutting his bedroom door. He was out like a light.

But Johnny, he stayed awake. He fought against his sleep and continued listening allthewhile hitting you hard with answers that made you lose control! This kid was right! And it wasn't long until you both confessed your love for one another.

He was right.

They were still your friends and they were still there. No matter what would change or how things were done, you did it together, even when you weren't there. Silence doesn't mean you're forgotten.

That night you laid in Johnny's arms and was quick to fall asleep. The both of you.

There was something special about Johnny and in your heart you knew that he was the one. The one who would prompt to you "Forget about the world" as it would bring you to your peace and supply the love you needed. Forever and ever.
