After a while, Gen and I decide we should go to dinner, so we pick out each other's outfits, something we did all the time at home, and depart for the evening. When we get down to dinner, May approaches me, "I'm really going to miss you Elle."

I hug her. "I'm going to miss you too. But you're going to visit all the time, right?"

In the last couple of weeks, May and I have grown close. We spend the endless days in the Women's Room playing games and just talking together. But, against my will, May and Magda have to leave after dinner. With all the extra guests, they decided to go back to their own houses.

"Of course." She pulls away to look at me. "Just don't do anything stupid while I'm gone."

I laugh, just a little sadly. "No promises."

After a minute, we both sit down at our places for dinner. I mostly focus on my food, occasionally adding something to the conversation. All the sudden, I feel exhausted for some reason. After dinner, I can barely keep my eyes open, so I head back to my room. I throw my high heels onto the floor and almost fall onto my bed until I realize that there's an envelope on top of the covers. With a new serge of energy, I curiously tear open the letter and find that it's a note from Kaden:

I loved meeting you today!

I saw some of the books you were holding and I thought maybe we could talk about them sometime.

-Kaden

I smile at the sentiment. I can tell that Kaden is a sweet guy, he has to be, if he's the son of Maxon Schreave. What could go wrong?
