[O_O it had to happen, even I was getting curious to see how they saw the world... and we finally get into the mind of one of the Angel Twins... @_@.... ]

“The mark of champions …huh…”

I turned around at the soft voice that crept up behind me. Mia stood leaning against the doorframe, watching me curiously, her eyes were barely open, indicating she had probably just woken up. Seeing her standing there I realised I had forgotten to lock the door to our shared bathroom, again. Returning my gaze to the bathroom mirror, I continued my inspection of the growing purple bruise that was spreading across the right side of my face.

“Not too sure about the champion part though…” I mumbled as I poked the skin under my eye and watched it change from purple to white and back again. Mia shuffled into the bathroom quietly, leaning forward to see the bruise more clearly. A small smile grew on her face as she traced her finger from the bottom of my eye to the corner of my jawline.

“Amy really has a good arm…” she trailed off, her voice filled with admiration.

“She’s supposed to be a runner.” I stated sheepishly, flinching as I recalled the blow. Mia laughed as she pinched my arm, moving to sit on the edge of the bathtub.

“Runners have arms too idiot.”

Poking the bruise again I watched in fascination as it continued to change colour. I was barely aware of Mia shaking her head in the mirror.

“I still can’t believe she punched me. I mean who does that?”

“You still have to ask? Of all the people you must be the only one stupid enough to do what you did. The outcome isn’t really a surprise.”

There was a strange note of annoyance in Mia’s voice that caught me by surprise. Turning to her I watched as she began biting her lip in frustration, an old habit she had indicating she was not pleased.

“Puff you angry about something?”

Mia looked up at me in surprise before glaring at me, her cheeks puffing out as she steamed up, “Don’t call me that!”

I turned away from the mirror to look directly at her. The concern she must have seen on my face seemed to calm her down before she glance away guiltily, “what’s there to be angry about…” she mumbled.

It only took a moment for me to click on what must have been bothering her and I smiled in understanding as I joined her by the bathtub. Laughing softly as she still tried to avoid looking at me.

“Is this about me dating Amy?”

Her head whipped around towards me.

Bingo.

Brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear, I smiled at Mia, ensuring that her eyes met mine this time. It was moments like this that made me forget she was the older twin.

“Listen sis, no matter who I’m with you’ll always be my big sister. Nothing will change that, ‘kay? Not even this.”

Mia looked at me cynically, “Who said you guys were dating?”

I shrugged, grinning, “She’ll come around.”

Shaking her head Mia looked at me in disbelief, “Where do you get that confidence from?”

Scratching my head, I looked to the ceiling, feigning deep thought.

“Well, where there’s smoke there’s fire, right?”

Looking back to my sister I caught her watching me, a sad, troubled look in her eyes, “You really shouldn’t put too much into a rumour like that…”
