Popcorn

(So this is the 25th chapter... I Feel like we should celebrate or something)

"So what do you wanna go see?" Mark asked, smiling at the green haired guy beside him.
"I don't really care" Jack shrugged, "it's up to you"
"Well" Mark scrolled through the list of new movies playing at the cinema near to them "you wanna go see {insert any movie here} then? That's supposed to be good"
"Yeah alright" Jack smiled "as long as I can get popcorn"
Mark laughed "every time"

When they reached the cinema, Mark turned to Jack "can you get the tickets? I'll get the popcorn" and Jack nodded
"Yeah sure, can I get sweet please"
Mark smiled "you already are"
Jack face palmed and laughed "oh god Mark, that was cheesy. Even for you!"
Mark laughed "yeah, but that's why you love me"
Jack rolled his eyes and kissed Mark quickly. "one of the reasons anyway"
Mark blushed and walked over to the snack counter.
"Two medium cokes and two large popcorns please, both sweet"
The girl behind the counter smiled "one second, that's $20 please"
Mark nodded and handed over the money, slowly getting more nervous of what he was about to do. Quickly checking to make sure Jack wasn't looking, he turned back to the girl. "And c-can you put this in one of the popcorns please?"
The girl frowned "look, if you're trying to date ra-"
Mark cut her off quickly "no, no no no no, god no!" he handed her a small ring "I'm trying to get engaged"
Her expression changed quickly and she smiled "oh good luck! Who's the lucky person?" Mark pointed over to Jack, and she looked over "damn, he's yours? You lucky bastard."
Mark chuckled "yeah, I am"
She quickly got the order together and brought it over "ok, the red popcorn box has the ring in it. Let me know what happens, ok?"
Mark nodded again "ok"

It took about half an hour, if you counted the adverts, for Jack to feel something in his popcorn. He pulled it out and turned to Mark, nudging him
"Hey I think the worker dropped her ring"
Mark gulped and turned to face him. "N-no, she didn't"
Jacks eyes widened, and he bit his lip, not daring to let himself believe what he so wanted to be happening. "then, w-what's with the r-ring?"
Mark reached over and took his hand "it's because I love you, and I want to be with you. For the rest of my life."
By that point jack had tears started to roll down his cheeks, and a huge grin on his face
"Jack. The ring is b-because" he sighed "because I want to ask you, to make me the luckiest person alive, and marry me."
Jack nodded excitedly and Mark slid the ring onto his finger, before quickly wrapping his arms around his fiancé.
"Mark, I love you, and I'm so, SO glad you asked."
Mark chuckled and kissed jacks head "yeah, so am I"

The film ended and the newly engaged pair walked out together, smiling at a few congratulations from people who had heard what happened.
"Oh, by the way" Mark quickly remembered "I need to go tell the popcorn girl how this turned out"
Jack smiled "come on then"
When the girl saw Mark approaching with his arm around Jack, she smiled
"So, I'm going to guess you said yes" she laughed and Jack nodded happily
"Damn right I did!"
She grinned at both of them "congrats guys! Oh, hey wait a second" she grabbed one of the gift cards off the side and filled it out quickly "call it a wedding gift" she said, handing the card to them
Mark reached over and hugged her quickly "you're awesome, you know that."
She laughed "I've heard it before. Well, I should probably get back to work. Congrats again" she smiled and walked off to help someone else, leaving Mark and Jack to walk out of the cinema, hand in hand
