(You know, I wrote this idea ages ago but it was so bad I think I deleted it. It popped back into my head today, so here's the re-worked version, hope it's good)

"Why are you more excited to see my brother than I am?" Mark chuckled, smiling at the overexcited man sat on the couch beside him
"Because I've never met him. I don't know, it just feels like... Like this is serious you know, I'm meeting your family" Jack looked away, a shy smile on his face
"Jack you met my mom months ago, and I've met your parents"
"I don't know, it just feels special every time"
"You are the cheesiest person I know" Mark laughed, planting a kiss on Jack's head.
"Awww you know you love me!"
"I'm not so sure about that"
Jack looked away, pretending to be hurt until Mark rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around him. Jack smiled and turned around to wrap his own arms around Mark.
"Told ya you loved me" he giggled, and Mark just rolled his eyes again.
"Guilty as charged"
The doorbell rang after that and Mark stood up, smiling, and went to answer it
"Tom! Come in"
Mark walked back into the room with his brother. Jack stood up and smiled at him, Tom smiling back.
"Ok" Mark walked over to Jack and bit his lip "so the reason I asked you to come over was because we have something to tell you."
Jack nodded "we're uploading it to the channels tomorrow I think, but Mark wanted to tell you face to face" he felt Mark reach for his hand and interlocked their fingers
"Yeah I did." Mark exhaled deeply and smiled nervously at his brother "we're dating" he turned to Jack and kissed his head again, making his boyfriend blush, which made Mark laugh.
"You're joking right?" Was the only response Tom gave
"What? N-no. Im gay and dating Jack. I love him." Jack smiled, he always did when Mark said he loved him.
Tom, however, glared at the two "you're disgusting. I can't believe my own brother is.. One of them" he spat the last word and turned around "call me when you come back to reality Mark. Because I'm not some fag's brother" with that he turned and stormed away. Jack watched him, absolutely speechless. He looked over to Mark, just to see the American shaking, tears starring his dark eyes. "B-but.. Tom.." He whispered, and it broke Jack's heart to see him like this.
"Mark." He forced himself to stay calm, not letting the tears that tried to escape do what they wanted. "J-just tell him we were joking. He's your brother. I don't want to be the reason you lost contact with part of your family, he's more important than I'll ever be"
"Jack? Don't say that."
"Mark" he smiled, fighting harder than ever to not cry "it's ok. Just go. As long as I'm still your friend, that's enough"

Mark stood up shakily and nodded, walking away. He sighed and slid his hands into his Jean pockets. Feeling the small black box and wrapping his hand around it. It was only then he really realised what he was doing. He quickly ran after his brother
"Hey Tom!" He shouted  "I have something to tell you"

Jack was sitting back at their house. When Mark had left he'd let himself cry, and right now he was curled up on the couch, his knees against his chest, when he heard the front door open and close.
"Jack! Where are you?" He heard Mark's voice calling him, and sat up confused.      "S-still in the living room" Jack chocked out, and Mark came in, standing in the doorway. He held his arms out and Jack ran to him, hugging him tightly. Mark wrapped his own arms around Jack and pulled him impossibly closer
"I-I don't know what I was thinking. How the hell could I ever think of leaving you?"
"I don't care, just please don't. I know it was my idea but-"
Mark cut him off by pressing his lips to Jack's. Jack smiled into the kiss, both of their tears mixing on their cheeks.
"Mark" Jack broke the kiss and looked at the American "as much as I love the fact you came back, why did you choose me over him?"
"Easy" Mark replied "family comes first. If he won't accept me, he's not my family. You're all the family I need. So I told Tom that if he couldn't accept who I was, then he was right about not being my brother." Mark broke away from Jack and smiled at him "actually, I did have something I needed to ask you, before all this"
"Well what?" Jack asked. His eyes widening as Mark got down on to one knee and pulled the ring box out of his pocket.
"I wanted to ask you to marry me"
"Do you actually need to ask?" Jack laughed "you know I'm going to say yes"
Mark smiled  and slid the ring onto Jack's finger, before picking him up and spinning him around, both of them laughing despite the tears and drama of 10 minuets before

ALTERNATE ENDING
(yeah I wrote another ending because I didn't know if I wanted this to be a happy or sad fic)

Mark stood up shakily and nodded, walking away. He sighed and slid his hands into his Jean pockets. Feeling the small black box and wrapping his hand around it, his plans for the future destroyed, he wiped his eyes, forced a smile and quickly ran after his brother.
"Hey Tom!" He shouted  "I have something to tell you"
"What?" Tom turned around and glared at Mark, who winced at his tone
"Tom, we were joking! You honestly think I'm gay? As if!"
Tom raised an eyebrow "you're serious? Good. Then come back home with me. I miss you Mark, and you'd see your other friends a lot more often.
Mark nodded and continued forcing a smile "yeah ok, give me a week?"

Mark moved out and Jack went back home too. It took days, weeks, months, but Jack met someone new and fell in love. A year after they met, his boyfriend proposed and Jack had cried and said yes. He can barely remember his time with Mark now, beyond the way they broke up. Mark never forgot about Jack though, he never found someone who made him feel like Jack had. He still has the ring, Hidden under his mattress. While Jack falls asleep with his new guy's arms around him, like he used to fall asleep with him, Mark stays awake, imagining how different everything would have been if he'd stayed with Jack.

He really wishes he had..
