"She used to love this place" Mark sighed, "we ate here all the time"
Jack forced himself to keep calm. He hated Mark's ex, because she'd had everything he wanted, and thrown it away for a one night stand. Mark however, was still in love with her. He didn't want her back, not after what she did, but he still loved her. Jack hated hearing Mark talk about her, he hated how sad Mark looked when he did.
"I know Mark" Jack said eventually "do you want to go somewhere else?"
Mark shook his head quickly "n-no it's ok. I mean, why should we go somewhere else. She's not important" Mark said it, sounding more like he was trying to convince himself than Jack
"Exactly Mark" Jack smiled at his friend "she didn't deserve you anyway"
"Yeah..." Mark sighed, "anyway, what do you want to eat?"
After around an hour, they left the restaurant. Jack had asked Mark to come with him to the duck pond, because he hadn't been in a long time, and he didn't want to go on his own. Mark had smiled and gone with him, but now that they were sat by the water, Mark looked lost in his own mind again.
Jack sighed "you're thinking about her, aren't you."
"W-what! N-no... It's just... Jack, w-was I an idiot to dump her?"
"What!" Jack turned to face Mark, genuinely surprised by his friends question. "No, not at all! She cheated on you Mark, you'd have been an idiot to stay with Her!"
"I guess, but... Jack what if I don't find anyone else"
"Mark.." Jack sighed and shook his head "you will find someone else. You'll find someone and wonder how you ever thought she was the one. That person will be your world, and you'll be theirs. She won't ever come into your mind, because whoever you meet will always be there instead. They'll know you better than you know yourself, and you'll be the same with them. They'll be your everything, and you'll be theirs" Jack sighed and looked away, muttering under his breath "like you are for me"
"I heard that" Mark smiled at Jack, a blush creeping up his face.
"Shite. Please don't be mad?"
Mark laughed "oh yeah, like I'm going to be angry because you just called me your everything." He moved closer to Jack and took hold of his hand. "I think I know how you feel"
Jack blushed and smiled at Mark, resting his head on the older man's shoulder, and feeling Mark wrap an arm around his shoulders.
Four years later, and Jack was stood in a Tux with his hair doing its best to look neat. Mark was standing opposite him and smiled, tears in his eyes as he started talking.
"Four years ago, my friend told that I'd find someone and wonder how I ever thought my ex was the one.that person would be my world, and I'd be theirs. She wouldn't ever come into my mind, because whoever i met would always be there instead. They'd know me better than i knew myself, and I'd be the same with them. They'd be my everything, and I'd be theirs. I know now, he was right. Because It's been four years, and I still know exactly what he meant, because every time I'm with him, I live through it. I love you Jack."
Jack smiled at Mark, tears in his eyes, and after a little more of the ceremony, he was married to his best friend.

FanfictionHey, I write this pairing a lot, and I figured I may as well have a book to write them in, since most of them are like 1 chapter.
