(Going away tomorrow :D sorry if I don't update then, I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few days :/ OH, and if it's not obvious. A) the 30 day fic is going to be one long story and B) this one has a time skip of about... Let's say a year after number 3)

Mark had been planning this for a long time now. He realised it must have been at least two weeks, but he had to get this perfect. It was about as dorky and cheesy as it could be, but he knew jack would love it.

"Mark where are we going?" Jack asked, laughing as Mark shook his head.
"You don't need to know yet, just trust me."
"Last time I did that, we ended up lost in the forest" he laughed "which was fun at first"
"It's not the forest this time, so it's ok." Mark replied, laughing with him.
They drove for a little while longer, before Jack realised the blob of blue that was the sea was getting closer to them, and his face lit up. "The beach! But I thought you hated it?"
Mark shook his head, smiling "no, I'm scared of the ocean. But ice cream and running around on the sand like morons is fun."
When Mark parked the car, Jack's first response was to hug him, grinning like an excited child. Mark rolled his eyes and took his hand as soon as they were out of the car. They wandered about together, their hands always interlocked, going into the arcades and eventually stopping for ice cream. They'd been out most of the day when they did, and the sun was just starting to set. It was almost time, so with their ice cream done, the pair made their way down to the pier, and the small fair that was always there.
"Hey Jack, let's go on the big wheel" Mark said, and Jack nodded. Mark payed the man running it and they climbed on, Jack cuddling against Mark and smiling.
"This really has been a great day" he mumbled, and Mark nodded
"It really has, but I've got one last surprise for you." When they were at the top, Jack could see the beach pretty clearly, so he also saw Mark's 'surprise'.

Drawn into the sand, were the words "Jack, will you marry me?"

Jack's eyes watered as he looked at Mark for confirmation. Mark's response was to pull a small ring out of his pocket and hold it out to Jack. "Well, will you?"
"Do you really need to ask? Yes! Oh god Mark, yes!"
Mark slid the ring onto Jack's finger and pressed their lips together.

Needless to say, it was the best date they'd ever been on.

(Yeah, I figured since one of the days is to write their wedding, it made sense to get the proposal out of the way now, and this seemed like the best chapter.)
