(The more I think about it, the more I realise how much better I could have written bad dreams. So I want to re-write it. Here we go)
He was dressed entirely in black, but Mark saw him clearly anyway. He saw the cold, harsh smirk on his face, he saw the evil shine in his eyes. He saw the gun.
The man laughed. "Oh come on, It's not a hard question" his voice was cold and as dark as the clothes he wore "you, or your boyfriend?"
Mark opened his mouth, and Jack glared at him "Mark, don't you dare." Jack could read Mark like a book now, and he knew what Mark was going to say. He turned to face the man, fixing his glare onto him. "Don't let him choose. Shoot me. There's no reason for me to live without him anyway."
The man laughed again "oh wow, you're so brave" he rolled his eyes "give me a break. Y'know, I honestly though youtubers would be more creative with their last words, but never mind"
Mark shook his head violently "don't listen to him, don't leave me alone!"
Jack looked over at him, as he felt the gun press against his head. he refused to cry now, he wouldn't give his killer the satisfaction of seeing him afraid. Instead he smiled, the usual bright, warm smile he held throughout his life.
"Any last words? Come on, it's the last time he'll hear you alive after all" the man chuckled, and Jack nodded, keeping his eyes on Mark
"I'm sorry this is how it ends Mark. Im sorry it ended before I got to marry you" he sighed and looked down at the ring on his finger, twisting it gently, but not removing it "But promise you won't kill yourself after this. Please, keep living. Keep being a reason so many others can keep living, keep smiling, keep laughing, keep loving" he looked up at Mark one last time, and smiled lovingly at him "because I'll never stop loving you."
Mark started to talk, but before he could open his mouth to reply, the gun was shot, and the man ran away, leaving Mark with blood on his face and tears in his eyes. The bullet had gone straight through Jack's head, there was no chance for him, so he did the only thing he could think of. Mark screamed. He screamed, and cried, until he could barely breath,And that's when he woke up. He sat up in bed, a cold sweat covering his body, tears in his eyes, and his breath barely coming out. He tried to breath deeper but couldn't, panting and gulping, tears streaming down his face. He could hear a familiar Irish accent moaning as its owner walked out of his room and over to Mark's
"Mark, it's 2 in the morning! Can you just rec- Mark! What happened?" Jack ran over to his boyfriend, quickly wrapping his arms around him and holding him close. Mark buried his head into the younger man's neck, hugging him as though he would vanish if he ever let go.
"N-nightmare" he mumbled "y-you..." He trailed off, unable to finish his own sentence. Jack sighed "Shh, hey it's ok. Everything's ok, it was only a dream. Breath Mark, calm down, everything's ok." Jack whispered gently to him, rubbing Mark's back slowly. They stayed like this for an hour, until Mark had calmed down, when he had, he turned to Jack and smiled weakly.
"I love you. So, so much"
Jack rolled his eyes but he smiled "I love you too marki. Now come on, it's 3 in the morning and I need my sleep"
Mark nodded and curled back under his sheets, smiling as he felt Jack curl against him
"Y-you don't have to stay here you know, I-I'll be fine"
Jack shrugged "I know, but I want to stay with you in case it happens again, and anyway" he curled closer, putting Mark's arm around him "it's cold in my room, and you're all warm"
Mark chuckled quietly. Eventually he fell back asleep, but this time his dreams were much happier. He smiled in his sleep, images of his and Jack's wedding in his mind,

FanficHey, I write this pairing a lot, and I figured I may as well have a book to write them in, since most of them are like 1 chapter.
