Everything was going well so far, but I think meeting with management wouldn’t go well. They are going to be mad by the whole issue of Jo and Asher. I had to beat up Asher, though. He abused the girl I was in love with. I will never forgive him.
The problem is Jo. I don’t know what she’s going to tell everyone. She doesn’t want Asher to go to jail, I know that for certain. I don’t know what type of lies she has concocted.
I wish this could be simpler. Asher would be locked behind bars. Jo would be safe and happy, and I would be relieved to know my friend is safe. But no, Jo hates me now because for some odd reason. She’s in love with the guy that abuses her.
That doesn’t matter. Emily is my girlfriend, not Jo. I need to stop worrying about Jo. This worked out for the better. I’m dating Emily and Jo never wants to speak to me again, so I won’t bother her. Seems like an awful way to end the conflict, but it’s the only way.
I turned down another street, nearing the place I needed to go. I had already dropped off Emily, so she’s home safe, which makes me feel a lot better. I really hope she feels better soon.
I could see the building coming into sight as I drove. Within another turn, I was in front of the building. My car parked right in the front and I headed into the building.
I talked to the lady at the front desk and she told me the directions to Simon’s office. I walked over to the door that had ‘Simon Cowell’ on the nameplate and then knocked. Simon called from the other side, telling me to come in. I turned the knob and pushed the door open.
Simon was sitting at his desk, a few other advisors to the right and left of him. Sitting in front of the desk in four out of the five chairs were the boys.
“Hey,” I quietly greeted the large group of people. Simon was the only one to mumble a greeting in reply. The room felt tense for some reason and I knew it was my entire fault.
“Have a seat,” Simon said, gesturing toward the empty seat that was right in the middle of the boys. Isn’t that just great?
I plopped down in the center, gripping the arms of the chair I didn’t say anything, I just waited for someone else to speak first.
“As you know, the conflict between you, Asher Lee, and Jo Levon is currently widely popular, correct?” Simon asked. I nodded, holding back a sarcastic comment I wanted to say back, “Yeah I know.”
“Well, everyone is confused by what happened, because no police information or press information has been released. The three companies that the three people involved belong to are going to try and work it out together. You three are some of the most famous stars in the world right now. Never in a million years would I have thought that a problem would involve all three of you! Now we don’t know what we’re going to do…”
“I know I caused a lot of problems with beating up Asher, I should’ve called the police first, but I just wasn’t thinking correctly. I saw him trying to tear off her clothing and she had a slap mark on her cheek. I put all the pieces together and realized that he had been abusing her for a long time, and I was just furious. Something took over me and I just started hitting him until he was unconscious. I should regret it, but I don’t at all.”
Simon sighed, “I understand. I actually do have a heart,” he joked. I quietly laughed, and glanced at the boys to see none of them laughed. I wonder what they are thinking about all of this. I have only talked to them for like five minutes and we were mad. Then, they simply left so I could think things out. I still haven’t even thought much about it…
“We’ll do everything we can to try and get your side to win the case. Do you know anything about Jo’s opinion on all of this?” Simon asked.
“Yeah…” I sadly mumbled, “She doesn’t want Asher to go to jail.”
“Why?”
“Well, she is still in love with Asher somehow,” I explained, “I don’t know how, but it’s like he hypnotized her, it’s weird to explain. But, she started yelling at me when I hurt Asher. I thought she’d be happy to get away from him. I guess it kind of makes sense, that’s why she didn’t get help for all of this.”
Simon slowly nodded, and the advisors around him wrote a couple stuff down, “Okay, well, the court case will be in about two to three months, and it will be broadcasted around the world, might as well get some press coverage and extra money from all of this.”
That’s what it is all about. There always must be press and money involved. Haven’t we had enough of it? I just want to settle this on my own, but I never can settle anything on my own. Everyone gets involved in everything that happens to me.
“Does it have to be broadcasted?” I whined. Simon nodded, “Sorry, but they are already involved. They have to know everything and we’re required to have in broadcasted on TV. At least you’re doing better than Jo, according to her management.”
“What’s happening to Jo?” I immediately asked.
“She pretty much had a break down there. She broke down sobbing and yelling about how she wanted Asher back. She’s usually show quiet and reserved and no one knew what to do. She freaking out and wouldn’t speak to anyone about it, that’s why we had to get all the answers from you.”
Oh God, Jo is having a breakdown. No one knows about her suicidal thoughts, only I do. No one knows about her depression. I wonder if Asher does, he probably doesn’t. He wouldn’t realize it even though he is most likely the cause of it.
I need to find a way to see Jo. I want to make sure she is going to be okay, but I can’t even visit her. She won’t speak to me, she refuses to. I want to be able to speak to he about all this. There’s so much I want to know, but I’m pretty sure she’s still pissed at me.
“You wouldn’t be able to talk to her, would you?” Simon curiously asked. Of course he’d ask that. I shook my head, “No, right before they took Asher off, she refused to speak to me ever again because I beat up Asher and got him arrested.”
“Oh, well if you two get things worked out somehow, just call me,” Simon said. I simply nodded, acting like I actually had hope in that idea.
“Now, about Emily Hart,” Simon began, he intertwined his hands together and leaned closer onto his desk. Crap, now I have to talk about Emily. I don’t want to release our relationship yet, but I have a feeling that Simon is going to make me.
“We are dating now,” I simply told him, instead of having him inquiring me. The advisors wrote down more things onto their notepads. I hate that they are watching my every move and writing down every word that comes out of my mouth.
“How long have you been?”
“Um, a couple days,” I asked. I decided to keep it vague. I didn’t really want to tell him that we got together on the day that the whole issue between Jo and Asher had occurred.
“Okay, you do know that you’re going to have to announce your relationship, right? Well, we already had drama about you and Emily dating, were you dating her then?” Simon asked. I shook my head, “No, we were still just friends.”
“We’ll announce help announce the relationship, but we want you to do so or your twitter,” Simon said, “All the fans have already started to make rumors, and it’s pretty much already official on the internet, just not announced by you.”
“I’m worried that the relationship won’t last long with all the problems with paparazzi and the hating fans. I don’t know if she will want to stay with me when she realizes all the consequences of dating me… I wish it could be less complicated…” I sadly mumbled. I was kind of surprised that I admitted all that to Simon.
“Well, for as long as it lasts, that’s how we’ll have to announce your relationship,” Simon said.
I’m worried what will happen to Emily’s personal life. I know that everyone will try and figure out everything about her. The fans will find every internet site she’s on and then send hate or just try to get her to notice them. Emily’s not used to it, so I’m scared how she’ll handle this.
“Thanks for coming in boys,” Simon said. I glanced at the boys to see that they were still silently sitting, just listening in on the conversation. I wish I could know what they are thinking. It seems like a lot is on their minds.
“No problem,” I answered for them. We said our goodbyes and then walked out the door. We were still silent, until we walked into the parking lot. That’s when they finally started talking, “Niall, why don’t you just stay friends with Emily?” Harry asked.
I turned around and saw that Harry was looking at me with a serious look. I frowned, “Well, because we love each other. Why do you care?”
“You know I’m worried you’ll hurt Emily. She isn’t used to this kind of new situation, and I think you should let her have some space. You’ve been hanging out with her each day. You two are becoming too close too fast and I’m worried something will happen and break her heart even worse than before,” Harry said.
“It’s none of your business, Harry,” I mumbled heading towards our car.
“If you haven’t noticed, it’s been all of our faults,” Liam pointed out. Harry quickly added in, “We’ve been having to deal with the conflict you’ve caused and you dating Emily has just added more issues.”
“What are you saying, you want me to break up with her?” I asked. I tried to keep my voice calm, but I was seriously pissed.
“I’m not saying it… I’m just giving ideas,” Harry mumbled. I glared at him and turned around, stomping towards my car. I got in my car, slamming the door behind me. I didn’t say anything to them, I just pulled out of the parking lot and drove away.
This was kind of like stream of consciousness writing. I had no idea what I was doing, I just wrote whatever the heck I was thinking.
