“Niall, I don’t know if this is a good idea,” Emily quietly argued. I wrapped my arms around her waist from behind. I rested my chin on her shoulder. I nestled my head into the crook of her neck, “Please?” I begged, “I’ve been so bored around here.”

“You could try and entertain yourself,” Emily suggested. It was probably more of an annoyed statement. She knows that I always seem to invite her over when I have nothing to do. But, I do love spending time with her.

"But, Niall I thought we were going somewhere for New Year's," Emily whined, trying to escape my tight grasp on her waist, "Ni-all!" she whined as I held on tighter, "No, I want to hold onto you!"

Emily giggled, "At least let me turn around so I can see you," She said. My grip loosened around her waist and Emily flipped around. My eye met her beautiful brown ones. Emily nervously bit her lip as I looked at her. She seems like the type of girl who isn't used to people staring at her, "You're beautiful," I whispered, my lips pressing against her forehead.

"Thanks," Emily breathed out, somewhat start struck by me. Emily looked up at me and released her bottom lip from her teeth, "Niall, where are we going for New Year's Eve?"

"Partying," I answered simply. It's what all celebrities did, and I usually did so, too, "Or clubbing, I don't know. Whatever you want more, it doesn't matter to me."

"Is it one of those clubs with celebrities or famous people?" she inquired. I slightly lifted my shoulders up and let them fall back down in an awkward shrug, since my arms were still around Emily, "I don't know, do you want to be with celebrities?"

Emily quickly shook her head, "No, I don't want that kind of club or party. It will just put out so much stress for me. I just want to be able to have fun, not stress out every second because I'm around people who are talented and have millions of fans and all look like supermodels."

"I understand, but, Emily, you are gorgeous, you shouldn't be jealous," I replied. Emily rolled her eyes, "Of course you'd say that, but it's not like I am ugly, I'm just not a supermodel. I'm not planning on being one, so I'm fine by the way I look."

I smiled and pulled her closer, so her head was resting against my chest, "I'm glad you think differently from most girls, that's one of the things I love about you," I said.

"So shouldn't we get ready or something?" Emily asked. i shrugged, "If you want."

Emily untangled herself from my tight grasp. She headed down to my own bedroom, "Now, you go get your outfit ready for the club thing we're going to," She commanded, but it only ended up sounding comedic. I laughed and kissed her forehead, "Whatever you say, love."

I walked into my closet, looking for something nice to wear. i finally put together an outfit and carried the bundle of clothes out of the closet. Emily was still patiently waiting on the edge of my bed with her legs crossed. Her hands laid on her lap. Her back was straight and she looked like she was going to have tea with the queen or something.

I laughed, "What's with you?" I asked. She looked at me confused, "What are you talking about?"

"Your position," I answered, "What's with the whole proper shit?" I question, motioning towards her position. Emily quickly uncrossed her legs and brought her hands back to her sides now that she knew there was something wrong with the way she sat, "Sorry, I didn't mean to look weird."

I frowned, "I wasn't trying to insult you or anything , love," I told her, reaching down and slipped my hand into hers. Emily intertwined her fingers with mine.

"You just always seem so..." I searched for a word that wouldn't be insulting, but I could only find one word,"... uptight," I finished. Emily's nose scrunched up at that word, "I just hate the connotation of that word, it's so negative."

I laughed, "See? I don't really think upright is all of it. You just seem so smart. I'm just not really the smart type of person," I sheepishly admitted. I never graduated high school, so I guess that's a major role in that issue.

Emily shrugged, " I guess you could say I am smart, but it sounds a bit self-absorbed. I am not the richest girl and the college I go to is really nice. I got a full math scholarship for this college."

"Wow, you're smart," I lamely replied. Emily laughed, "I guess I'll take that as a compliment."

"Is there anything you can't do?" I joked. A grin played on the corners of her lips, "Anything athletic. I'm a bit of a stereotypical nerd," she admitted, casing her cheeks to tint red.

"I guess nerds are my type," I joked, helping Emily up to her feet. I kept my hand out and intertwined my hand with hers, "Ready to go, love?" I asked and she nodded in reply. i liked the fact that i was able to learn more about Emily. We really didn't know too much about each other. I didn't know that she was majoring in math.

"What do you want to do when you get out of college?" I asked her as we walked out of my bedroom.

"I want to be an accountant," she told me. I smiled, "You I like the fact that you are different from others. Most girls would want to be a singer or actor or writer, but you want to be an accountant."

Emily laughed, "I like dealing with numbers, they always work out to some sort of solution in the end," she answered. I smiled and kissed the side of her head. We were now in front of the door, so we unlatched our bodies from each other. I grabbed a pair of shoes and coat and slipped them on. Emily did the same, but put on more clothing items.

I opened up the door for her, "You first, m'lady," I said, politely. Emily laughed and walked forward. I intertwined my fingers with her again and led her out to my car.
