I yawned and my eyes slowly fluttered open, filling with morning light. The warmth of my bed beckoned to close my again, but then I heard a noise, "Well, you finally woke up."

I immediately sat up, the covers falling off my upper half. The cold air hit my bare chest, but I ignored it, so I could find origin of the voice. I turned to the right and saw Jo sitting on the floor of my bedroom.

"What the hell are you doing, Jo?" I groggily muttered, as I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes.

"Well, I was bored of staying in my room, so I decided to wait for you to wake up," she answered, "Besides, you told me that I could come in your room anytime I wanted."

I laughed, "Well, okay you have your reasons," I pulled myself out of bed. I realized that I was only wearing a pair of pajama pants and no shirt. Heat rose to my cheeks and I quickly headed to my dresser to grab a shirt.

"Someone is the little flirt," Jo joked, "going shirtless when there is a girl in the house."

I rolled my eyes as I threw on my T-shirt over my chest, "Yeah, that's what I intended on happening," I answered sarcastically. Jo laughed and then pulled herself up to her feet, "Wanna eat?"

I nodded and we both headed into the kitchen. I searched through my fridge and cabinets as Jo sat at the counter.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked. Jo bit her lip as she thought for a second, "Um, could you make coffee?" she asked, then quickly added, "You don't have to if it's too much work."

I chuckled, "No, it is fine. Do you want anything else?"

Jo shook her head, "No, coffee is fine. I'm not much of a breakfast-lover anyways."

I mumbled a typical reply and started on the coffee. I wasn't really in the mood to eat much. My nerves were getting the best of me, like they always do when I'm around Jo.

"So..." I awkwardly said, trying to end the awkward silence between us. I hated those odd moments. Jo looked up from her lap, "Oh, sorry, I was kind of in a daze," she quietly laughed, "So, um, when do you want me to go?"

"Stay as long as you want."

Jo nodded, but didn't reply. She brought her bottom lip between her teeth and gradually slid it out and then brought it back under the grasp of her teeth. She seemed nervous as I stood there watching her.

I noticed that the coffee was finished, so I quickly tended to that. I poured the coffee and asked Jo if she wanted anything in it. She muttered a no, so I obediently finished preparing our coffee.

I handed Jo her mug, while I held my own. Jo took a sip of coffee and then wrinkled her nose, "Wow, that is hot," she set her mug down on the counter, "Probably wasn't the best idea to drink it immediately."
