Next Day

Here we are, standing in the Principal's office. We stood with crossed arms, and glared at her. She had expressed a look of confusion.

"How can I help you three?" She asked.

"You can start by telling us the truth." I confidently answered.

"Excuse me?" She scoffed.

"You heard her the first time, Mrs Salvatore." Katherine cut in.

"What are you implicating?" She asked looking confused.

"About the monsters you and the whole school are!" Candice finally spoke.

Our Principal looked even more confused.

"What exactly are we then?" Mrs Salvatore cocked her right eyebrow.

"Vampires." I revealed.

Her facial expression fell into a shocked one. She wasn't expecting us girls to find out.

"H-how did yo-" She got cut off by me.

"As if it isn't obvious. We've all seen strange things since we joined this hell hole. As you said yourself, the curriculum is very much different to what we're used to."

"I've seen people's eyes change colour. I've seen people drink blood. And I've seen you ogling at our necklaces since we've arrived." I spat harshly.

"My history lessons haven't been normal either. We've been learning the history of the vampire culture, which I didn't know that even existed until yesterday." Katherine cut in again.

"What is it that you are hiding from us, huh?" I asked, feeling my anger rise.

"You girls weren't suppose to find out." She silently muttered as she placed her head on the table.

"What do you mean - you girls weren't suppose to find out? Are you crazy, woman?! If we didn't know that these necklaces were protecting us, we would have been dead four weeks ago!" Katherine spoke in rage.

"I would have taken this damn necklace off before getting in the shower. But no, I can't. I promised my own Mother that I would not take it off. Even if I did, I would have most likely been laying in the bath tub, surrounded by my blood, for my own Mother to find." She continued.

The Principal sat in silence. Her expression wasn't readable.

"What if my Mother found me like that? Huh? She'd be lost. She'd be grieving that her only child is dead. She wouldn't be able to live on her own!" Her anger subsided, replacing it with sadness.

There was a long silence. I could hear Katherine control her ragged, sharp breaths.

"You knew about us, didn't you?" Katherine broke the silence.

Mrs Salvatore nodded in response.

"What sort of Principal do you call yourself?" Katherine scoffed.

Her anger suddenly returned.

"You've put three students at risk of being killed." Katherine continued.

The Principal murmured something under her breath.

"Did I just hear you say how? Well this is how." Katherine spoke, her voice laced with sarcasm.
