"I'm driving back to California!" I exclaimed through the phone call with my agitating Mother.

Due to both of us having cars, we obviously had to drive in our own cars. I had to follow her as she 'supposedly' knew where to go. I lost her on two occasions because she didn't use her indicators at the cross roads!

"You are not driving back there! You don't even know your way back." She yelled down the phone.

"There's a thing called Google Maps." I corrected her.

"Listen to me, Yasmin. Don't be put off by the silence. I'm sure it will get better the further we go, so please, Yasmin. Don't do this." She pleaded.

The pace of our driving was slow because of the phone call. God forbid, if we were racing down the road with our phones in our hands, we'd most likely crash because of the distraction.

The eeriness of this town is creepy. Well, that was at the beginning of the entrance to the town. Now that we've driven further, I've seen a few supermarkets, restaurants, schools and some clothing stores. To be fairly honest, the houses here are really nice. I just don't know if I will find this place 'homely'.

We turned left onto a completely straight road. By the looks of it, any of these houses could be ours. I continued to follow Mum's car until she used her indicator to turn right.

I stopped dead in my tracks and gawked at the beautiful, victorian-styled house. My word; it's outrageously stunning! It's definitely better than the house in California.

My amazement was disturbed by the sound of a loud horn, which by no surprise belonged to my Mother's car. I turned right and parked my car next to hers. We both exited our cars, grabbing our suitcases and stopped to stare at the house.

"Not so bad is it?" Mum asked.

She obviously knows that she's overruled the conversation we had yesterday.

"It's nice." I answered back.

I could feel her smirk.

"I'm glad you think it's nice. I believe the furniture was dropped off earlier. So go in and unpack your things." She ordered and passed me my own key.

Pacing towards the door, I unlocked it swiftly and swung the door wide open. A small gasp left my mouth. The interior of this house was even better. Parts of the walls were made of wood, with elegant carvings. The grey floor seems to look like marble flooring. The best part was the spiral staircase. It was a grey coloured marble again, with glass inner strings on the side and a black banister.

I made my way up the stairs and begun to search for my room. The first door I opened was Mum's room. I knew this due to the fact that all of her bedroom furniture was in there from our house in California.

The second room was the bathroom.

The third was a guest room.

Thankfully, the fourth room was mine. It was at the ending of the landing, but I didn't mind.

I left the first suitcase in my room and paced downstairs to get the rest of the suitcases out of my car.

This is going to take some time.

6:30PM

I was in my room, lying on my bed. I scrolled through several posts on Instagram. I was distracted by a knock on the door. Presumably, I thought it was my Mother. Once I granted permission to come in, it was actually Katherine and Candice.
