Yasmin's P.O.V

"Gotta be sick of this guy. Pull up, skrr, get in the ride. Left hand is steerin' the other is grippin' your thigh. Light up a spliff and get high. Shawty you deserve what you've been missin'." Theo sung in the car.

"You do realise that's about a girl who got mistreated by her fella, right?" I said to Theo.

"Obviously."

His expression said otherwise.

"Well you clearly don't, because you don't have a girl in your mind to relate it to." I stated.

Not that I knew of...

"Don't get sarcastic with me young lady." Theo smirked.

"Piss off, Theo." I laughed.

"How's your self defence lessons going?" Theo asked, changing the subject.

"It's alright. It just gets tiring." I admitted.

"Hmm. Yasmin, I wanted to tell you something." Theo said, suddenly sounding serious.

"I don't want to frighten you either."

At this point I had parked my car in my allocated bay.

"What is it?" I asked, turning to look at him with curiosity.

"I know." He whispered.

He knows what?

"I know what you are." He whispered again.

"What?" I asked, confused.

I had no idea what he was saying. What does he know?

"You're, um. Human." He didn't make any sense, but I understood one major word.

Human.

Holy shit. But how? I found myself becoming more frightened. Looking down at my hands, I noticed how much they were shaking. My hands felt like they were no longer in control as my grip on the steering wheel loosened.

"I promise I won't do anything to harm you, or say anything to anyone, Yasmin." Theo said, noticing my shaking hands.

"I-I" I didn't know what to say.

"Just keep that necklace on, okay?"

I nodded, and begun to feel my eyes fill up with tears.

God damn it. Why do I easily get so emotional.

"Please don't cry, Yas." Theo said, grabbing hold of one of my hands.

I can't help it. It went from one person to knowing, to a massive group of others knowing. I feel too vulnerable.

"You need to promise me that you won't tell anyone." He sternly requested.

"Of course I'm not gonn-"

"You promise now, Yasmin." He cut in.

"I-I promise." I responded, shakily.

"Good. And this doesn't change anything at all. I have a lot of human friends, so I do know how to control myself." He stated.
