Today is Saturday. The day of Nash's party, and my Mum's arrival.

Was I looking forward to her arrival? Not so much.

Was I looking forward to Nash's party? Yes!

I was looking through my wardrobe, and immediately found myself sighing. Being a girl is typical. You have tons of clothes, but you can never find the right outfit.

How sad.

An hour later, I found myself taking a trip down to California. In the long run, it'll be worth it.

"How have you been, sweetie?" She asked.

I've been better.

"I've been very busy with college work."

That was partially true.

"And have you completed all the work?" She continued to ask as she made her way towards the coffee machine.

Maybe I should ask her the same about this so called course.

"Yep. It's all done." I could hear myself sounding frustrated.

"How did it go?" I asked, anticipating about what her answer would be.

"It was fine." She responded.

She tried to distract herself with the coffee machine. I watched as she fumbled with the buttons. She tried to get the machine to brew. By the looks of it, she has forgotten, or she remembers, but her guilt is probably eating her up.

After a short while, I decided to step in. I had noticed that she had not pressed one of the 'crucial' buttons.

"You forgot to choose what you wanted." I said bluntly, pressing the 'black coffee' button, and then the 'brew' one.

"Oh. That's what happens when you're away for two weeks." She muttered.

Of course it is.

"There's this party I've been invited to. Katherine and Candice are going as well. I'm leaving at around eight thirty." I informed her.
