Yasmin's P.O.V

One Month Later

"Time to get up, sunshine!" Mum cheerily spoke, waking me up.

I let out a groan.

"It's a beautiful Saturday morning, and we have a lot to do. So, get up!" Mum demanded.

By that, she meant lessons in self defence.

"I want you ready and downstairs in thirty minutes. Chop chop." She continued, before pulling open my bedroom curtains, and leaving the room.

She had noticed an improvement in my strength, as did I. I had learned enough from several people. Enough to even kill a vampire now.

I stared up at the ceiling, as many thoughts crossed my mind. My twentieth birthday was nearing closer now, only being three months away. Supposedly, I'm meant to die on my birthday. But, I had thought back to what Cameron had once said.

The future can be changed.

Now that I had made an alliance with my Father, maybe he was my only chance of changing my fate. However, I haven't heard anything from him since my first encounter with him, a month ago.

I got up from my bed, and prepared for the day ahead. And just as Mum had instructed, I was downstairs and ready for our lesson. We headed into our garage, where our set up was.

Mum turned towards me, and recited the same question she says per lesson.

"If a vampire was to attack, what are the precautionary steps." She questioned.

And my answer remained the same.

"Snap to attention and assume the fighting position."

"Good." She said, nodding.

And with that, we continued our lesson.

Savas's P.O.V

I watched into the scrying portal Adeline had formed. I saw my daughter practicing all the defence movements her Mother had taught. And I was impressed.

"What is your plan?" I heard Adeline ask

"What is your plan?" I heard Adeline ask.

I scoffed.

"That's between me and my daughter."

Silence fell, as I continued to watch my daughter. I was proud and amazed at her strength.

"How long until my services to you discontinue?" I heard her ask again.

She wanted to leave.

"It won't be long now." I answered.

"And my family?"
