Katherine's P.O.V
"She's out, with Caroline?" I asked Candice, through our phone call.
"Surprisingly, yes." Candice confirmed.
"She needs to be careful."
"Katherine. You can't constantly say that she needs to be careful. She's fully aware of her vulnerability. As long as she keeps her necklace on, she's safe." Candice argued.
"And it's not like Caroline doesn't know what she is. She's good at controlling her blood thirst." She continued.
"How would you know, Candice?" I asked bitterly.
"I just do, Katherine."
"We'd all be dead by now if they didn't know how to control their blood thirst."
"You don't know everything." I argued back.
"You have quite a temper, Katherine." I could imagine Candice grinning right now.
"Whatever." I said, before hanging up.
"I don't have a freakin' temper." I muttered angrily, as I chucked my phone across the room.
"Why do I constantly feel like this?!" I said, through gritted teeth.
I can't seem to explain my change in behaviour. Every single day, since finding out about these Vampires, I can't stop thinking about how much I despise them. All I want to do, is plunge my hand into their chest, and rip their heart out, as well as ripping their heads off their cold body.
"You find it difficult to control your aggression, which is a common personality trait in Werewolves." An unfamiliar voice spoke.
Usually, in such a situation, I wouldn't freeze. But this time, I did. I looked at the tall glass vanity that was in the corner of my living room. Through the reflection of the glass, I could faintly see a figure.
"Turn around." The voice commanded.
No. I can't. I won't.
"I. Said. Turn. Around." The voice spoke angrily.
Slowly, and shakily, I turned around. Stood across from me, was what I assumed to be a Vampire. But he was different. It was his eyes. They were much darker than an original vampire's eyes.
I watched as the strangers eyes returned to his normal colour. I had caught my breath once I looked into his blue eyes. I could see the emotions that hid deep inside his dark ocean coloured eyes. Something which I'm not usually good at.
"Have you read the book I delivered myself, Katerina?" The stranger asked.
My heart begun to beat faster. He called me Katerina. A name, which only my father went by. A name which I haven't heard in eight years.
"W-who are you?" I was a stuttering mess.
"And she speaks." He says, smirking.
Unexpectedly, I felt myself becoming angry. I was confused with myself and my feelings.
"The likelihood of you losing control of your rage will only lead to you triggering your gene, Katerina. You would know that if you read the book." He continued.
