1 Week Later

"Hey. It's Yasmin. Yasmin Demir." I said, looking directly into my camera which was recording me.

"Fuck. I sound like Hannah Baker." I say, laughing at my self.

Or even James Bond.

"If you're watching this, it's currently 2018. The president of the United States is Donald Trump, and the prime minister of the UK is surprisingly Theresa May. Who would've thought, eh?"

Jokes aside.

"And also, I'm either dead, or alive. Who knows."

Yeah. You may be thinking, what the hell is this girl doing? I've been in a mental battle with myself for the past week, contemplating on whether I should do this or not.

If Hannah Baker managed to create an audio tape, as a way to say goodbye, I might as well do something similar. So I thought, 'fuck it'. If I'm caught, I could either be kept alive, or drained to death.

"For each and everyone of you, sitting or even standing, watching this, I want to share some stuff with you all."

And it was from that point, I began to say my farewells, and started planning ahead for the unexpected.

"You can't keep coddling me." I say to my friends who sat in random places around my bedroom.

"Of course we can." Caroline said.

She's lucky Mum wasn't in. That woman can sense any vampire within her proximity.

"Plus, this is better than sitting at a desk at the academy, learning about the human anatomy." Elena cut in, to which Candice and Caroline nodded.

So, I'm their excuse as to why they're not at the academy. Great.

"How have you been feeling?" Candice asked, playing with my hair.

"Much better, thank you." I said, resting my head on her shoulder.

"Have any of you heard from Katherine at all?" I asked the girls.

They all shook their heads.

"I miss her." I say glumly.

"Me too." I heard Candice mutter.

"Even if she's a pain in the arse." I heard her continue, which only made me laugh.

I was in a sudden daze. My focus was on a bunch of flowers that were in a vase on my window sill. Elena had bought them for me a couple of days ago. However, I noticed something strange. They were dead, within two days.

"How's that possible?"

"How's what possible?" I heard Catherine say.

"Elena's flowers. They're dead." I said, continuing to stare at the flowers in confusion.
