5.0 - hospital gown

Cameron's P.O.V

"How many others are there left?" Nash asked the team.

"Nineteen now." AJ replies, as he opens the file in his hands.

"Last night, a Freddy Morley, aged twenty four, was found dead near the outskirts of the town. His body is currently missing from the morgue." AJ explained.

"They've taken him then." Nash said.

We all nodded.

I suddenly began to feel a wave of fear in the pit of my stomach.

Something must be wrong with Yasmin. I know it.

I excused myself from the group, and went to call Yasmin.

Her phone had gone straight to her voicemail.

Now I began to feel worried. She was out of town, to some place where I have no knowledge of. Looking at the time on my phone, I realised that she was due to be home within the next ten to fifteen minutes. I know that, because I'm supposed to sleep round hers after I leave the unit.

"Cameron!" I heard someone yell my name.

I turn to see Elena walk into the unit with the Salvatores and Caroline. Elena had tears running down her face. Both the Salvatore brothers looked both shocked and piteous.

"It's Yasmin. She's been in a car crash!"

Instantly, I went into panic mode.

"W-what?" I stuttered.

"An ambulance had taken her to the hospital." Damon cut in.

They all had pitiful expressions.

"Where is she now?!" I asked.

My insides begun to burn as I thought of Yasmin's current state.

"She's at the Californian District General Hospital." Elena informed, as tears continued to run down her face.

As soon as I heard where she was, I ran as fast as I could to my car.

"Please be okay, baby." I begun to pant heavily.

The thought of Yasmin being hurt badly broke me. I'm not even with her to comfort or protect her.

"Damn it!" I yell.

My fingers fumbled with my ignition key. I struggled to turn the engine on.

"Come on, Cameron." I say to myself, and immediately felt tears brim my eyes.

I suddenly hear the passenger door open. I looked up to see Elena.

"I'm coming with you." She announced.

Numbly nodding, I continued trying to turn the ignition on. Finally, I had managed to turn it on, and started driving. I drove as fast as I could, in an attempt to reach to Yasmin quickly.

"Kai caused it, Cameron." I heard Elena say quietly.

Anger flared up my insides, as I begun to think of that bastard. My mind was in shock. This is completely unexpected. Right now, I wanted to rush to her side.

"Why?!" I found myself screaming.

"He's working with them, Cameron." Her eyes lowered.

I punched the steering wheel, causing the direction to slightly alter from the road.

"Cameron, calm down! Just focus on getting to Yasmin. She needs you right now." Elena said, holding onto my arm.

"I should have been the one to fucking stay by her side at all times. Instead, I put all my time and energy on that fucking unit! This is all my fault." I cried out.
