"You did what?!" Both Candice and Katherine exclaimed.
The whole cafeteria could probably hear them.
"You both heard the first time." I say, rolling my eyes.
I gave them little detail to what happened last night. I mainly told them we kissed. The girls knew something was going on between us both, they just never wanted to explain it themselves.
"As your best friend, I have the right to say this." Katherine begun, as she placed her hands above my shoulders.
"If he physically or emotionally harms you, I won't hesitate to kill him." She threatened, causing me to roll my eyes.
"But, if he makes you happy, then I'm happy, for you." She said, emphasising on the last two words.
"Thank you." I say, smiling.
"So, are you both official?" Candice asks.
I nodded.
"He's your second boyfriend, Yas!" Candice exclaimed, sounding excited.
"I know." I laugh, as I nod.
"You can't have sex!" Katherine says, causing me to choke on my water.
"I never planned on doing that any time soon." I said.
Suddenly, I hear the chair beside me screech. A grinning Cameron was sitting next to me. Hopefully, he didn't hear what Katherine just said. That would be equally embarrassing.
"Hey." He said, smiling at me.
"Hey." I respond silently.
I've suddenly become shy.
"What are your plans after school?" He asked.
"Strict revision. I have a test for business tomorrow, that I really need to pass." I respond.
"Mind if I come by?" He asked.
"You can come round if you want." I say, smiling.
"After school?" He asks.
"Yeah. After school is fine." I reply, nodding.
"Great. Thanks." He said with a smile.
He turns to look at Katherine and Candice. He plasters them a smile. Candice returns it, whereas Katherine keeps her head down.
I mentally sigh. It's going to be hard to get her to like him. I know it is.

"So, do Werewolves actually exist then?" I asked Cameron, as I flicked through my business revision book.
"They do." He nodded.
"Have you seen any?" I asked.
"Plenty. But as you probably know, Vampires and Werewolves don't exactly get along well with each other." He said, causing me to nod at his last statement.
"You wanna help me with this?" Cameron said, pointing to his mathematics text book.
The change in subject happened quickly. I guess he doesn't like talking about Werewolves, as well as disliking them.
"Are you seriously stuck?" I ask, feeling surprised.
His mathematics is a whole lot better than mine. He never asks for help.
Never!
"Very." He said, nodding.
I lift myself out of my office chair, and make my way towards my bed, where he was lying on his front. I also lied down on my front, and looked at the open page in his hand.
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He was stuck with a standard form question. He knows how to answer these types of questions, easily.
"This can't be that hard for you, Cameron. You know how to change these into standard form." I say, as I continued to look at the page in front of us.
"I know." He whispered in my ear, causing me to jump a little.
I turned my head to see him smirking. The distance between us had closed in. I could feel his breath fanning across my face.
"We need to revise, Cameron." I said, sounding like a revision freak.
"I'd rather do this." Cameron said, before smashing his lips onto mine.
I sighed into the kiss, and found myself allowing this to happen. The gentle kiss lengthened for several minutes, until I pulled away.
"Cameron. Come on." I say, looking up at him.
"Alright, alright!" He said, and begun to continue his revision.
*****
"Cameron said they exist." I inform Katherine over the phone.
"So why the hell was that book given to me?" She asked, sounding confused.
"Do you have access to any CCTV footage, Kath?" I asked.
"I can gain access to it. We've got our security cameras. One is placed above the front garden." She informed me.
"Get it, burn it onto a CD, and bring it to me." I instruct her.
"Will do. I'll see you tomorrow." She said.
"See you later."
Once I hung up, I made my way downstairs. I headed into the kitchen, and came across Mum.
"Sweetie. There's something I need to tell you." She said, placing her cup of coffee on the kitchen counter.
"There's an enforced curfew. Every single child has to be back home by eight. That includes you. So from now on, I want you home before eight." She explained.
"What curfew?" I asked.
I've never heard of such a thing. I never even knew the police were able to enforce curfews.
"It's just a curfew, Yasmin." She sighed.
"Has something happened?" I asked.
"I'm not sure." She said, shrugging.
I need to ask Cameron. He'd know what's going on. He always does.
Next Day
"A dead pool? What the hell is a dead pool?" I asked Cameron.
We were standing outside his locker, at the academy.
"A dead pool is a game. It's a generated list of names. The purpose of it is to guess when someone will die, and how much someone is worth to kill." He explains.
A game? What sort of sick person does that?
A psychopath.
"So it's like a betting game?" I said, trying to process what he just told me.
"Exactly like a betting game." He confirmed.
So that's what caused the curfew. Cameron told me everything he knows. Apparently there's been mysterious deaths in the town. I never even heard about them, which is just strange.
Cameron believes that something supernatural is causing those deaths. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. After learning that Werewolves exist, what if there are many other different supernaturals out there? You never know.
Cameron also mentioned that all the deaths had one thing in common.
Their bodies went missing afterwards, and were never found.
