4.1 - declaring war

Yasmin's P.O.V

"Caroline. Tell me."

"I have such a big mouth." Caroline groaned.

"Care!" I yelled.

"Okay. Okay!" She responded, holding her hands up.

"We've hidden stuff from you and Kath."

"We've?"

"Ah, shit." Caroline groaned, slamming her head onto the table.

The whole class went silent, looking at both Caroline and I. I let out an awkward chuckle, before speaking to the class.

"Her boyfriend cheated on her."

"You what-?" Caroline said, once lifting her head up.

"I could've said worse!" I spat back angrily.

She let out an angry huff, before responding.

"The whole group want to protect both you and Katherine. You know, with you two being on the dead pool list."

I nodded in response, before Candice came into my mind.

"Is Candice in on this as well?" I asked.

Caroline had a look of guilt plastered on her face.

That only confirmed it for me.

"We've been attacking the Heretics for the past two weeks. Damon killed two of them." She continued to explain.

That still means there's three remaining.

"The other three are more powerful. They even took Stefan for three days, just to torture him." She said quietly.

Well that explains why I haven't seen Stefan for a while.

"Cameron has even tried to take your place on that list, Yasmin. But your Dad won't allow it to happen."

My heart stopped, and my eyes widened in shock.

The only other person who has mentioned my Father being alive was the ghost of Mehmet. Katherine is now the second.

"My Dad?" I stuttered.

"He isn't dead, Yas. I'm sorry." She said, expressing a sad smile.

I felt my eyes tear up. Seconds later, I found myself not being able to control my tears.

"Shall I continue?" Caroline asked softly, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Please." I nodded.

"He leads them, Yas. Your Dad also created the list."

My heart broke when I heard he was alive. But now, it was completely shattered.

"He's a Vampire then?"

Caroline nodded in response.

"Your Mom knows." Caroline revealed.

"No. No she doesn't. She thinks he's dead." I say, shaking my head.

"Yasmin. You need to talk to her."

Caroline's expression told me otherwise. Had I been lied to this whole time?

"Cameron. You never answered my question about him." I say, reminding Caroline.
