"Now." He said.
I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering how that would be possible. Suddenly, within a blur, we ended up being elsewhere.
"Dad! What the hell?!" I exclaimed, feeling a wave of shock and nausea.
It must obviously be from travelling at vampiric speed. I'm not used to it. I looked around the surroundings, finding myself unsure as to my whereabouts.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"This is my home." He said, looking proud.
I wouldn't say this out loud, purely because I would be worried about his reaction. But, I did not feel safe at all. In fact, I felt like I was going to throw up any minute now.
"Come on now." He instructed, linking his arm with mine.
We walked in through the front of castle-styled building, and I instantly froze. This place looked far too luxurious for a man like him. The inside of this place was something you would find in a Harry Potter film. It was mad!
"You like it?" He asked, smiling.
Of course not. But I lied.
"It's really nice and different."
"Different how?" He continued.
"It's very posh, baba." I responded.
Baba - Dad
"Well, of course it is. If I'm to be King, I have to look the part."
So, this was all for show... Typical.
"Let's go meet the family." He said, dragging me along with him.
We walked and entered a hallway, and I couldn't help but to stare at the pictures that hung on the walls. He had hung several drawings of someone, and that someone was that me.
"I never forgot about you, Yasmin." He whispered.
This didn't justify anything. He still wanted me killed. But that thought was no longer in my mind. I was overly fascinated with the drawings of me. They were drawn with such precision, even I wouldn't be able to master.
"Your eyes are envied by many people." I heard him say.
"Why?" I asked, confused.
"They're captivating, canim benim. The colour itself is very different. Everyone in the family has dark brown eyes. Yours are far from that. Golden, like honey." He explained.
Canim Benim - My Dear/ My Darling
I know Cameron has always admired my eyes. He openly admits it. But, hearing it come out from my Dad's mouth felt different. Like there was a deeper meaning.
"They're becoming impatient." He said, referring to his 'family'.
We continued to walk down the long hallway, only to come across a familiar double doored entrance. Where had I seen these doors from?
He had let go of my arm, and stood in front of the doors.
"Ready?" He asked me.
I nodded in response.
And with that, he swung open both doors.
Instantly, I gasped. The familiarity hit me instantly, as another wave of nausea hit me. I knew the doors looked recognisable, and what was on the other side definitely confirmed it. It was the alter I had previously seen twice in my sleep. I couldn't believe it. How is this possible?
