Josh-

I can't believe Mersidion is standing only a few yards away-back exposed. I could easily stab him in the back with the knife I have-but he's so massive, it would be the equivalent of sticking a needle inside a Elephant.

Werus suddenly sneezes, causing Mersidion to whip around. He smiles cruelly at us, and unsheathes his black sword.

My eyes zero in on his silver crown. The crown-I need to destroy it, so I can actually hurt him.

"Well look who it is." Mersidion says, as if we're best friends."Josh Hart, my favorite Shiner."

"Hello Mersidion." I greet, still eyeing his crown.

I scan our surroundings. We're in a large round room with no ceiling.

'Josh if you're reading my mind, I want you to know that I'm going to destroy the crown with a lightning bolt.' Brandon mentally says.

Brandon raises his arms, then brings a lightning bolt upon the crown. The crown turns to dust, effectively breaking the spell. Mersidion roars in frustration and rage.

I teleport behind him and slice his leg with the knife. Reddish-brown blood leaks from the wound. He backhands me with his massive right hand, causing me to sail across the room. I crash into a wall, and watch as heavily armed Nitave soldiers pour into the room.

Brandon duplicates himself into ten Brandons, and starts killing Nitaves, while three clones fight Mersidion.

A Nitave knocks me out by bringing the butt of his gun upon my temple.

Alan-

I awaken on a nice, comfortable bed. Sunlight bathes the room in it's wonderful light. I turn my head and see Anthony asleep, a blanket draped over him. Dennis is sitting in a chair nearby, Emily is sitting on one of his thighs-crying.

Then I remember the events of last night. We had that battle with the Nitaves, resulting in the penthouse being destroyed, when we fled-Everett caught up to us and killed Blake and Teresa, I gained a new superpower, but I wasn't successfully able to kill Everett because the Nitaves arrived, then rescued him.

I take deep breathes, then proceed leave the bed. My feet meet carpet, and I stride over to Emily and Dennis.

"Hey Alan." Dennis says, tiredly."Emily woke me up with her nightmares about last night, anyways I'm going to bed now. My room is across from yours."

Emily dismounts Dennis's leg, then rushes to me. She wraps her arms around me, and I hug her back. Her tears soak part of my shirt, while I gently rub her back with my right hand.

She eventually pulls away from me.

"I'm sorry." She says, wiping away her tears."I need to stop being such a crybaby, Blake wouldn't approve of me crying."

"It's okay." I tell her."Crying is the part of the mourning process, you will accept Blake and Teresa's deaths. Also when we see Everitt again, I'll make sure you get to hurt him too."

She smiles at me, then says,"Thanks Alan."

I pat her on one of her shoulders.

"No problem, kiddo." I tell her."I know Anthony will take Teresa's death hard, make sure he doesn't do anything stupid-like kill himself."

She nods, then leaves the bedroom of what I assume this place to be-a hotel.

I strip my shirt off, then start doing my daily one hundred times a day push-ups. I wasn't able to do them yesterday, which means I need to do two-hundred today.

When I finish my push-ups, I take a long shower to wash off any dirt or grime from last night. I admire my awesomely defined abs and biceps, and my newly dyed dark hair. After the shower, I dress into black jeans, and a dark blue T-Shirt.

I step outside the bathroom, and see Anthony crying hysterically, and Emily embracing him.

No doubt he's mourning Teresa's death.

"Hey Alan." Anthony says, his voice shaky. He seems embarrassed and most likely didn't want me seeing him cry."I must look like a pathetic skinny kid who couldn't save his friends, which of course, is true."

"Listen bro, I'm so sorry about what happened last night." I tell him."But I promise we will find Everett, and you and Emily can do anything you want with him."

Anthony nods at my words, then pulls away from Emily.

"I'm going to brush my teeth." He says, walking to his backpack, and retrieving his toothbrush, then toothpaste.

"Me too." I say. I head over to my backpack, and retrieve my toothbrush and toothpaste.

"I already brushed mine." Emily informs us.

Anthony and I stand over the sink, cleaning our teeth. When I'm done cleaning my mouth and tongue, I spit the blood and other substances into the sink, then I leave the bathroom.

We should really figure out our next plan. After last night, we should not engage any Nitaves in fights-we already lost way too many.

But there is one thing we should definitely do.

Kill Everett, the traitorous redhead, who deserves to die.

Josh-

When I gain consciousness, I observe my surroundings. I'm lying on a pile of hay, in some shade. Werus, Danny, and Tara are also sleeping on piles of hay. Brandon is sitting on a hay stack, he looks extremely exhausted.

Next to Brandon is Varlu in his beagle form. Beside Varlu are three other animals-a pig, raccoon, and penguin. They must be the Mikens who were imprisoned. Mikens are basically what Varlu's species is.

I sit up, my back sore from sleeping on hay.

"What happened after I was knocked out?" I ask Brandon.

"One of my clones killed the Nitave who knocked you out, I fought off hundreds of Nitaves, Mersidion was injured, then fleed. I drastically lowered the number of Mersidion's soldiers, I swear I killed half the entire army of Nitaves, I found a Nitave jet and landed it here-this abandoned farm." He replies, exhaustion clear in his voice."Then I left Varlu to guard you all, while I made my way back to the base, used the teleportation machine to teleport to the other base, where I freed the Mikens. I made my way back here, and still haven't slept."

"Thank you Brandon, it really means a lot." I tell him.

"Anything for a friend." He replies."I'm going to pass out, now."

Then he shoots off the chair, and collapses onto a pile if hay-he falls asleep in seconds.

Varlu trots over to me.

"Do you have any idea where Mersidion went?" I ask him.

"Brandon told me Mersidion and his remaining soldiers are at the base in Michigan. Where you and Alan were sent to." He tells me."But he told me we should train, before the final battle. We have three weeks, and a few days left, until Mersidion will announce the Nitaves' presence on Earth, and conquer everything."

I nod, then collapse on the wooden floor-heavily exhausted.
