Chapter 30:Four's Revenge

Four-

Once I'm completely relaxed on my bed, I shut my eyes. A few minutes later, I'm asleep.

The room is gray and deserted. One single light bulb illuminates the area. A metal table is located in the middle of the room. Behind the table is Mersidion.

Mersidion is staring at a sheet of paper below him. On the sheet are the numbers-One, Two, Three, and Four. For some reason, each number is crossed out by an 'X'.

"Hello, Four." Mersidion says to me, his gaze suddenly focused on me.

"What do you want?" I ask him.

"Don't you want to know, how you know me in the first place?" He asks me."You don't recall even seeing me before."

I cautiously move away from him."What do you mean?"

"These are the deceased three." He says. With a snap of his fingers, three Shiners appear.

I recognize Three right away. The other two are unfamiliar. One of them is a young black-haired girl. The other Shiner has reddish-brown hair.

"Three believed that he was called the third, because he was to be the third person to be the leader of the Shiner King Protection Agency." Mersidion says."This is not true."

"You are all my sons and daughters. I numbered you in order of my favoritism towards you guys." Mersidion says to all of us. I'm at loss for words, I cannot be related to this monster.

"This pathetic Shiner here-" Mersidion says, pointing to the reddish-brown haired teenager boy."-is the firstborn child. He was weak so I killed him. Emily is the girl who also betrayed me, and Three did the same."

"And that leaves you, Four." Mersidion tells me."I didn't know what to do with you. So when you were five, I sent you to live in Africa. You proved yourself to be strong, and that's why I won't kill you."

"What do you want?!" I yell at him.

He shrinks until he's six feet tall. His reddish-brown hair drops to the floor, replaced by black hair. His glowing brown eyes become a non-glowing icy-blue. Mersidion becomes a almost-identical copy to me.

"I want my favorite son to rule with me." He replies."I erased your entire memory when I sent you to Africa, and now I gave it back to you, this is why you know who I am. Now join me, and we shall rule together!"

"Where is my mother!" I yell to him."Does Three have the same mom as me?"

"You get your looms from my true Shiner form." Mersidion says."I refuse to tell you, the location of your human mother."

I send sharp fragments of my shadow at him, they all impale him in his legs.

"Tell me!" I demand.

He lowers his head, so he's looking at the ground. Then he says something I can't hear.

"What was that?" I ask him.

"The Nitave base in Canada." He replies. Then he says the location if the base, and I realize the mansion is close to the base, only a few miles away.

"You were warned." Mersidion says, cryptically."You don't know what's coming for you."

I wake up. It's still dark out and Alan is sleeping in his bed. Daniel is also asleep. The alarm clock reads: 3:02A.M.

I leave my bed, throw on a T-Shirt, then exit the room. I can't believe I'm Mersidion's last child, and I'm now his only son. The doorbell rings and I answer it.
