Chapter 27:Mersidion's New Shiner

Alan-

While my dad drives all of us to the mansion, I watch the land pass by. Soon, I fall asleep.

Like most of my visions, this starts with me in a void. Then the vision becomes clear-I'm in a brightly lit room. There are punching bags and dumbbells all around. Nitaves who are seven feet tall and muscular, are watching someone.

I get a closer look at the focus of attention. It's a teenaged boy with pale blond hair and bluish-green eyes. He's battling a Nitave monster. The monster is as large as a elephant, with scaled green skin, it's muscular with a spiked tail, the head of a lizard, five feet long teeth, six legs, and wings.

The boy leaps onto the monster's head. He punches it's head, then the beast's entire body dissolves into black dust.

I take a few steps back, that kid can easily destroy me.

Mersidion enters the room. He turns to me.

"Don't you recognize him, Alan?" Mersidion asks me, referring to the Shiner boy."Don't you remember Alex Treski?"

Alex Treski.

The name sounds familiar. I go through my memories, I must know this guy from school or something. Alex Treski-he was in my English class, and Josh constantly bullied him. One day he disappeared without a trace.

"What did you do to him?" I ask Mersidion.

"I killed a Star in the Nitave Dimension and made sure that he was hit by the Fallen Star from the body,"Mersidion replies."You probably didn't even know that the Nitaves know about how you Shiners get your powers."

"You monster!" I yell."The Stars will always be here, which means Shiners will always be created, and not just born."

"Shut it, Alan." Mersidion says."I promised him that he will have his revenge on Josh. I'm pretty sure you know Josh wasn't a saint, and constantly bullied him."

"I'll make you a deal, Alan." Mersidion says."If you let Josh be killed by Alex, I won't kill your precious girlfriend who is my daughter."

I begin mulling this over. After awhile, I nod then shake Mersidion's hand.

He laughs then says,"Thank you Alan, I shall spare your life, and Emily's."

"Now tell us where he is." He tells me.

I tell Mersidion about the mansion. When I'm done telling the address, he thanks me again.

I wake in the car, it looks like we're pulling into the mansion's driveway. Josh greets me when I step outside the car.

"Hey bro." He says."Two Shiners joined us last night, they arrived late. Their names are Harry and Lucy."

Jobs steps aside so I can meet the two Shiners. Harry is a tall, muscular guy with dark brown hair, and brown eyes. Lucy is shorter, with the same hair and eye color as Harry, and looks like she's twelve or thirteen.

"How old are you two?" I ask them.

"I'm sixteen." Harry replies.

"Twelve." Lucy says.

I nod, then I enter the mansion. I'm ascending the stairs, when Jace confronts me. It looks like he's cleaned himself-his shaggy hair is now shaved into a buzz cut, and he smells like soap.

"Sorry bro, but we have no more space in the bedrooms." He tells me."There are four sofas in the basement that you can sleep on. The good thing is:you'll be the only one there, think of it as your own room."
