Chapter 31:Party With Shiners and Cake

Alan-

We descend back inside the mountain, intent on finding any prisoners. We only find one-a young girl with strawberry blond hair lying in a prison cell.

The girl screams when I gently touch her arm.

"It's okay." I assure her, in a soothing voice."We're friends, you're safe now."

I cradle the girl in my arms. She has tiny bite marks on her arms and rage courses through me. The Nitaves probably used their monsters to torture her for fun. Luckily, we just ended the war and can return home.

"Can you cast a spell to get us out of here?" I ask Four. He nods then teleports us inside a hut the size of a bedroom.

There are camp-beds with comfortable blankets shrouding them. This must be Four's African home.

"Okay, since there are four cots, the three girls get three, and I get one." Four tells us."The rest can sleep on one of the two hammocks, but someone will have to sleep on the floor."

"I don't think so." Everett says."I'm going back to the motel room with the somewhat pleasant bed."

Anthony agrees with Everett, and so does Lucy, Harry, and the Shiner girl with dirty blond hair. I watch them leave the hut, most likely going to travel in Anthony's portable spaceship, leaving me alone with Four and the little girl.

Four collapses on one of the camp-beds, and quickly falls asleep. I place the little girl on a camp-bed in a corner. It's been an extremely long night-mere hours ago, Josh and my other friends were killed, and I still haven't had time to mourn.

I look at the two sleeping bodies, resting on the camp-beds, at least we made it out alive, we survived.

I mourn. Tears flow freely from my eyes now, as I think about my deceased dad. I only just reunited with him for only, probably not even a full week, he came back into my life for just a few days, then a Nitave just had to go and murder him.

Of course it's my fault for telling Mersidion if our hideout at the time, I did it to protect Emily, plus Mersidion only wanted Josh dead. Never trust a evil dictator, I suppose.

I lay my tired body on a camp-bed, loathing myself more than I've ever did.

I go to sleep after a few minutes. I'm in a void again. There is a boy in the distance, there are three visible barred walls beside him-one to his left, another to his right, and the final barred wall is behind him.

I walk into his surroundings, and the void disappears. The void is replaced by a Nitave prison cell. There are Nitave women swarming around the outsides of the cell.

Since I'm so close to the boy, I can see him clearly. He's tall with brown hair, green eyes, and he has a muscular build.

"Hello My Majesty." He says, kneeling down."I am Austin, and this is the future, where the Nitave women take over the Nitave empire."

Austin stands, then he explains more.

"After Mersidion's death, the female general will take his place." Austin tells me."This will happen tomarrow, I am not captured yet, but I will be."

"Can't you just prevent your capture?" I ask him.

He nods."I can do that, but I'm going to purposely come here. If I am willingly captured, I can save prisoners who arrive here."

Then he says goodbye.

The dream shifts. I see female Nitaves shooting at Four, and my body is unconscious on the roof of a motel. A Nitave shoots me in the leg, and I wake up.
