Chapter 22:New Members

Josh-

Brandon moved all of us to Italy. Now we live in a much larger house, but it's just a simple two-story home. We train during the day, and rest and relax by night. Training starts at 5:00A.M. and ends when the sun starts to set.

It's peaceful here, no Nitaves to worry about, and it's nice to be outside of America.

We live in the outsides of a small city, and our house rests on top of a short hill. One day I hopped the fence to the backyard, then ended up rolling down the hill.

"Josh!" Brandon yells, breaking me of my train of thought."I bought pizza, and I found something interesting on the Internet!"

I sigh, then dismount the bench I was sitting on. I cover the distance to the house in two seconds. Brandon is holding his laptop, with a video on pause.

"You should see this." He tells me."I hacked through some cameras, and look at what's happening at a nearby cathedral."

He presses the play button, then the video starts. A blue force field surrounds a cathedral, and Nitaves are banging on the shield. There must be a Shiner trapped within.

"We need to save whoever is in their." Brandon tells me. I nod.

Then he looks over my shoulder. I turn and see dozens of Nitave spaceships descending upon us. Then a massive spaceship the size of six football fields, appear above the Nitave spaceships.

A cannon opens from the massive spaceship, and completely annihilates the Nitave ships, turning them into piles of ash. The ash rains down on us, and Brandon projects a shield so it won't get it our eyes.

The massive spaceship lands on the yard, that is now covered in a thick sheet of ash. Heavily armed men and women with guns, and swords, pile out of the spaceship. When they're done filing out, I see that there are probably one thousand people.

There are children too.

"Who are you people?" I ask.

One of them removes their helmet, revealing the face of a man with a blond buzz cut.

"We are the Great Shiner Force, or SF for short. The force field is just something to lure the Nitaves to us. Now we're going to kill them." The man says."Then we're going to destroy the Nitaves, and kill Mersidion."

"So we can join you?" I ask him.

He nods before saying,"Yes, today the final battle of this war begins!"

Tim-

We decided to drive to Michigan, after my Nitave communicator gave me a tip that Mersidion now occupies the base in Michigan. I've been traveling with Mack and Macy, we're intent on winning this war.

Mack drives the car at the speed limit. We're only two hours from Michigan, now. All of a sudden, Mack presses on the brakes, causing us to jerk forward.

I guess the final battle really is starting, because there are Nitave spaceships everywhere. Nitave trucks patrol the highway. Two Nitaves check into humans' cars, a dead policeman is lying dead on the ground.

We step out the car, valiantly confronting the pair of Nitaves.

"Look who decided to show up." Says one of the Nitaves."A Nitave traitor who is assisting Shiners."

Then he unsheathes his sword, the other Nitave does the same. Mack releases a laser beam from both hands, they lasers completely vaporize the Nitaves.

"Let's go, now!" Mack yells, shouting to be heard over the hundreds of spaceships above us. I see that he's pointing to a Nitave spaceship in a field, a few dozen yards away from her position.

The three of us rush to the spaceship, I believe the two Nitaves occupied it.

Once inside the aircraft, I collapse in a seat. Macy sits next to me, while Mack pilots the spaceship.

"Look at this." She tells me, holding a device in front of me.

The device is projecting a image of a few triangles. Two of the triangles are blue, and their are twenty other triangles are red.

"What does it mean?" I ask her.

"The blue represents the war spaceships of the Shiners, the red are the Nitave spaceships." She explains."One of the Shiner spaceships is traveling fast through Europe."

"And?" I ask her.

"A Shiner spaceship just landed in the North Pole. And the Nitave war spaceships are all over Michigan. It's a suicide mission if we go there. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is that the war is starting, and we will lose if the spaceships are guarding the base where Mersidion is in." She explains to me.

"Relax Macy, if we find a powerful Shiner with awesome superpowers, we will be able to destroy the ships." I tell her.

"No we won't." She says, hopelessly.

"Yes we will." An unfamiliar voice says.

We turn around and see a boy with black hair and green eyes smiling at us. He appears to be fourteen or fifteen years old.

"Hello guys, I'm just the person you're looking for." He says, coolly.

He's sitting in a chair, inside a cage.

"How'd you get in there?" I ask him.

"Your species captured me, and I was pretending to be weak, so they would take me to Mersidion. I planned on killing him myself." The boy says."By the way, my name is Nick."

"You can destroy the spaceships?" Macy asks.

Nick nods."I can simply explode them with my explosion superpower."

This is fantastic, we just met a powerful Shiner.

Harry-

I shakily get to my feet, running a hand through my dark brown hair. When I look outside the window, I only see snow and ice.

"What the hell?!" I yell to the pilot."We're supposed to be in Michigan!"

The pilot, a old Shiner in his fifties, turns to look at me.

"Look kid, the ship needs to be repaired." He tells me."I'm pretty sure you don't know how to repair a spaceship."

"I'm sixteen, I'm pretty sure any teen can fix a crappy ship." I tell him.

I leave the spaceship, then I fix the problem with my technology manipulation superpower. The pilot starts the spaceship, and hopefully we land in Michigan.

I want to participate in the final battle against the Nitaves.

My little sister, Lucy, starts waking from her sleep.

"Are we in Michigan yet?" She asks me.

I shake my head.

"Not yet." I tell her."But be prepared for a epic battle when we do."
