Chapter 38:Kyle Returns and Asott's Arrival

Alan-

I'm rudely awakened by gunshots. I turn my head and see Kyle in a black Pontiac G6. A Nitave is driving the Pontiac and Kyle is shooting a Desert Eagle pistol at us. Seth attempts to open a black hole, but nothing happens.

Kyle took our powers away.

Will morphs into a hawk and flies out the window. Will lands on the hood of Kyle's car and becomes a Tiger. I watch in horror as the Nitave driver slashes away at his leg with a dagger. Kyle uses his Telekinesis to launch Will into a mountain.

Hank retrieves a pistol from a compartment and thrusts it into my hands.

"It's already loaded. Just fire." Hank commands.

I stick my head and right arm through the window. The headlights need to be shot out, it's something that must be done-the Nitave driver can't see if the headlights are gone. I fire a bullet at one if the headlights, the bullet successfully destroys the light.

The Nitave driver is suprised about my action, I watch as she instinctively veers to the right. As they crash into a mountain, Kyle uses his Telekinesis to pull the car towards him.

"Get out the car!" Hank yells. Too late for that, now-Kyle has successfully pulled us only a few feet away from him. We're yanked outside the car with Telekinesis and thrown to the ground.

Kyle snatches away my pistol with Telekinesis. Then he steps outside the wrecked car and walks towards us.

"Listen Kyle, don't do this." Maddy pleads. Kyle ignores her entirely and aims his gun at me.

"You're really going to shoot me?" I ask him."Would you really kill an innocent Shiner?"

Kyle laughs and his finger moves closer to the trigger.

"You're no innocent, Alan Will." Kyle says, smirking."I know the truth behind the attack that killed Josh and your other friends."

Maddy starts inching away from me.

"What's he talking about, Alan?" Maddy asks me.

"It's my fault the mansion was attacked," I tell her."I made a deal with Mersidion that Josh will be killed and Emily will be spared, but it backfired and Mersidion killed everyone. That's the truth, I'm a monster. My best friends and father are dead because of me."

"So Rico and Paul are dead because of you?!" Maddy yells at me, her voice is filled with rage and sorrow."Did you enjoy it Alan? Do you realize that it was all for nothing? Because Emily is dead, you made the deal to protect her. Now she's dead, so was it all really worth it?!"

Now Hank, Seth, and Maddy are all disgusted by me. While they put distance between me, Kyle slightly pulls his finger away from the trigger.

"Looks like everyone hates you, now," Kyle tells me."So join us or we'll just leave you here to rot."

Kyle looks over my shoulder at something, then something sharp and cold enters my shoulder. Another icicle enters my leg and I fall to the ground, screaming in pain. It takes me awhile to realize Maddy is attacking me.

Then Maddy sends more jagged icicles into the back of my legs. Another one hits me in the calf. Maddy stops attacking me.

"Just leave him!" Seth yells."We need to leave!"

I hear their retreating footsteps. Kyle and his Nitave companion also flee, leaving me alone in the bitter cold.

I'm not sure how much time passes, but it's still dark out when an ambulance pulls over next to me. While they lift me onto a gurney, I pass out.
