Danny-
I've been the Nitaves' prisoner for almost an entire year now. Everyone most likely thinks I'm dead. I wish I was free, so I could join the war again. When I met Alan and Josh, my life has become dangerous and exciting. Now I've spent almost one year away from my friends. I'm useless to them and everyday I spend in this cell, I'm reminded on how useless and pathetic I am.
If only someone would free me, that way I can show everyone that I'm not dead.
I reminisce on how I was captured. It was a peaceful day at Jace's mansion which he shared with his dad. I was reading a Harry Potter book when I heard an explosion from downstairs. I left my bed and rushed over to my gun, that was lying on a desk. I knew it was the Nitaves, even before I heard their guns shooting.
So I hid under my bed like a coward, even though I had a pistol in my hand. A pistol is weak compared to the guns the Nitaves have. There was the sound if heavy footsteps and seconds later, a Nitave swung open my bedroom door. His boots and the bottom of his trousers was all I saw of him. He sighed and left my room. When the sounds of my teammates being slaughtered was heard no more, I fell asleep.
When I woke up, it was nighttime and I heard people talking outside the mansion. Then I heard the heavy footsteps of a Nitave's boot. I sneezed and the Nitave must have heard me, because the footsteps became louder and closer. I started to cry silently when the Nitave grabbed the bottom of the bed, then flipped it over-revealing me.
He sneered at me and grabbed my arm, forced me to my feet, and pushed the barrel of his gun in between my shoulder blades. He led me to the kitchen where dozens of Nitaves were, gathering the corpses of my deceased comrades.
"I found this one hiding under a bed, what should we do?" The Nitave asked one of his comrades, referring to me.
"Take him to the White House," The Nitave soldier replied, glaring at me."That base is mostly unknown to the Shiner trash. The Nitaves run the place now, little do the Humans realize." My eyes widened in shock, then the Nitave knocked me out. I woke up in the basement of the White House. I was in a cage large enough to fit a car, and I also had a metal bed.
I spent weeks in the cage, never being able to shower. Once every week, a Nitave woman arrived with a slice of bread and a bottle of water. It wasn't enough, so I became very emaciated. My skinny build made everything worse. The Nitave woman was my only companion for months. She enjoyed telling me about her children named Asott and Lisa. Occasionally, I wondered about Alan and what he was doing. I imagined him eating pizza with his other Shiner friends, while I sat in a dark cell under the White House. While he was laughing and kissing Tracy, I was probably lying on a cold metal bed.
Sometimes I heard the Nitaves speaking to each other. They would be in a panic, mostly crying about a relative who was killed by a Shiner.
"My daughter, Christine, was killed by a blond Shiner named Kyle." A Nitave woman told one of her Nitave friends. After awhile, I would lay in bed, wishing a Shiner would arrive and free me. Of course it never happened.
"You're going to be transported to the Nitave base in Australia." The Nitave woman told me one day after months of being in captivity. She surprised me by hugging me, and even shed a tear when two Nitave men roughly yanked me out of my cage. I was greeted by the sun when the two Nitaves took me outside. I was horribly pale from lack of sunlight, and I was filled with bliss when I felt it's rays on my skin again.
I was shoved into the back of a Nitave jet, three Nitave guards keeping a close watch on me. I arrived at the Nitave base in Australia a few hours later, where I was placed into a tiny prison cell. Two days passed and I was transported again, this time to the base I'm in now.
