My eyes stay locked on the girl in front of me, no older than thirteen.

" Kill her, Werus." Asott repeats.

I hold the gun in my hands. Thirty Nitaves surround me. There is no way we're making it out alive.

" I'm sorry." I say to the girl.

The Nitaves aim their guns at the human girl, and fire.

I hold the flash drive in my hands. I just saved everything that was on her laptop, into this tiny device. Something to remember her by. Asott walks in, he's my best friend, well, was.

" Hey Werus." He says, smiling.

" Shut up." I say, harshly.

" What's wrong with you?" He asks.

I shoot up from the chair." What's wrong with you?" I ask, turning his question against him.

" You got a innocent girl killed! She never did anything to you!" I shout, furious like I never been before.

Suddenly I'm grabbed by the back of my shirt, the flash drive slips out my hands.

Hours later I'm standing behind the bars of a cell door, locked up within a Nivate base. Something I learned today: Never let anyone know you're a traitor by blurting it aloud.

I heard they captured a Shiner in Michigan, until it broke out, then was captured again and taken to a different base in Southern California. Only for it to escape again, completely demolishing the base.

I share a cell with two others of my kind, one of them is a cute sixteen year old girl. The other is well, scary. He has a thin face, dark blue eyes, a tall muscular structure, and is nearly seven feet tall.

They told me they were imprisoned for being traitors of the Nitave race, also. I don't plan on staying here. I have a deep feeling that me and my cellmates will escape from this place somehow, hopefully.
