Chapter 62:Sharkutt Rises

Alan-

When we charge, I tackle a Nitave warrior to the ground. I push my hands into his armor and focus on making it extremely hot. The heat increases drastically and the Nitave becomes ash. I swipe the fallen sword from the floor and impale the closest Nitave warrior. When he dies, I move on to the next Nitave.

I destroy the Nitaves swiftly, before flinging a dagger towards Sharkutt. A Nitave runs into the dagger's path and it kills him instead. Even if the dagger did hit the wrong target, Sharkutt would have probably project a force field so the dagger wouldn't strike him.

Josh is now dueling Sharkutt, while the others are focused on the Sharkutt's Nitave reinforcements. The Shiners allied with Sharkutt are hiding somewhere inside the building, probably left Sharkutt to die.

I impale a Nitave and the chest, then I watch Josh and Sharkutt battle. Sharkutt is easily dodges Josh's attacks and his sword swings. I slide a sword over to Josh, but Sharkutt retrieves it instead. He raises it and points the blade to Josh's chest. He brings it down at an extremely quick speed and it impales Josh in the chest.

"No!" I yell, dodging a blast of a Nitave ray gun. Josh collapses on the ground and I feel rage build inside me. The rage intensifies when I think about all of my friends killed by the Nitaves-Nora, Denise, Tara, Emily, Four, Werus, Danny, and numerous others. Not only were my friends murdered by the Nitaves, but so were innocent Humans.

I roar loudly and charge at Sharkutt. A white glow emits from my hands as I push them forward. Two white beams of bright light emerge from my hands and hit Sharkutt. Sharkutt gets blown away until his back collides with a wall. The white beams of light seem to be paralyzingly him, because he won't move.

I keep Sharkutt that way as I resume battling the Nitaves.

"Five minutes!" Kyle yells after awhile."Five minutes until the bomb detonates!"

Emerina turns the entire room into metal. She slaughters a few Nitaves by sending metal spikes shooting from the now metallic walls. Maddy has healed Josh and he's battling, now. Five and Leslie use their powerful screams to send the Nitabes sailing in the air. Reese and Kim work together as a pair, destroying the Nitaves and protecting one another.

Sharkutt is still pinned to the wall, now glaring at me.

"Eighteen seconds remaining!" Kyle yells urgently after a few more minutes pass.

All of the Nitave reinforcements are killed after fifteen seconds.

"Teleport everyone out, now!" Mack shouts. Jahan and Josh frantically begins teleporting everyone to safety. Josh teleports a half dozen at a time. Jahan teleports twice as more as Josh and everyone is out just as the bomb is five seconds from exploding.

We're all a safe distance from the base, about thirty yards away. All of us watch as the emits base explodes, just like the one from last night-when I helped in destroying the Nitave base supervised by Ocenia's murderer.

The explosion, and great spectacle of colorful lights, ends after about fifteen seconds.

"We did it!" Lucy says, all giddy."We won, Sharkutt is dead and so is almost his entire army of Shiners and Nitaves. We watch as a few dozen Nitaves and Shiners retreat into the woods, not even bothering to attempt to destroy us.

"There's still something else." Seven says, still sitting on the same tree branch she was on when the battle first started.

"What?" Jace asks, suddenly appearing from the giant crater created when the Nitave jet crashed into the ground. He must have been unconscious ever since the Nitave jet crashed. He looks around and notices the giant mass of wreckage where the base used to be."Aw come on, don't tell me I missed the final battle."
