Chapter 36:Lucy's Gift

Lucy-

After celebrating Anthony's birthday, I enter Harry's room. He's sitting on his bed with his back against the headboard. A device is in his hands, it's projecting a hologram of Earth.

"What's that?" I ask him.

"A Gift has landed on Earth." He tells me. Then he points to the state of Ohio.

"What city did it land in?" I ask him.

"Show me where exactly it landed." He says to the device. The hologram changes until it displays the backyard of a small house. A tiny metal box is lying in a crater in the lawn, underneath the box is a metallic roof of a small building.

"What's the metal roof below it?" I ask Harry.

"It's the Gift Giver's home." He says to me.

"What?" I ask him."What's a Gift Giver?"

He sighs and turns his head to face me.

"The Gift Giver is like the Shiner version of Santa Clause." He explains, I chuckle."He gives gifts to Shiners, sometimes he makes an appearance on Earth to give presents to the Shiners there, which will be us. Anyways the gift is for you, he also wants to meet you personally."

"Awesome!" I exclaim."Will you take me?"

"Sure," He tells me."I guess we should bring Four and Jace along."

"Well you take me trick-or-treating?" I ask.

"Are you serious?" He asks me."It like eleven o'clock at night. All of the Humans will be asleep."

At least I still have Thanksgiving and Christmas to celebrate.

Then Harry stands and puts on a black long-sleeved shirt. He grabs his stick that becomes a scythe, then leaves out the door. I follow Harry to Four's room-who's practicing Magic. Harry approaches him.

"Hey Four, the Santa Claus of the Shiner Dimension sent Lucy a gift," Harry tells Four."Wanna come with us?"

"Sure." He says, walking over to us. Four is fully dressed-donning a dark gray shirt and black jeans.

We find Jace asleep on a sofa. He's sleeping like a baby, probably dreaming of killing Nitaves. Harry reaches out and touches Jace's shoulder. Jace's eyes open. He teleports behind Four and places him in a headlock.

"Oh...it's just you," Jace says to Four, releasing him."Don't ever sneak up on me, again."

Then Jace laughs at Four's angry expression.

"Just kidding." Jace says.

"Anyways, we're headed to Wisconsin," Harry tells Jace."The Gift Giver sent Lucy a present. We're going after it."

Jace's face becomes excited.

"Oh great, an adventure!" He says, all giddy.

"I want to come, too," Austin says, striding into the room."I'm going to text Seth about this."

Looks like we're going on a adventure.

Alan-

I wake up in a hospital bed, wearing the same clothes I wore since the crash. It's dark out and I wonder why I'm not in a hospital gown. I don't even have any wires or anything plugged into me.

"How are you feeling, Mr.Will?" A nurse asks me, walking into my room."Why aren't you in bed?"

She's tall, like the average Nitave, with black hair and her eyes are shrouded by sunglasses. She's obviously a Nitave, that much I know-this situation is too bizarre for it not to involve Nitaves.

I shoot water from my palms. The nurse's shoes make contact with the water, causing her to slip and fall. She snatches the eyewear from her face and breaks the sunglasses in half, effectively produces two sharp improvised weapons.

My theory that the nurse is a Nitave, turns out to be true-her eyes are blue and glowing. I morph my hand into a battle axe and chop her head off. Then I burst through the door. The door opens up to a long corridor.

A Nitave hospital, that's what this place is-Nitave warriors guard doors and Nitave Doctors wander around. I start killing every Nitave I see. There's a ferocious roar and Will reveals himself, he's in the form of a giant tiger with the height of five feet.

Will lunges at the nearest Nitave and rips her apart. I start killing Nitaves and round a corner. Five Nitaves are guarding the hospital doors. Then Seth appears, but before he can do anything, a Nitave slams the butt of her blaster on the back of Seth's head.

Another Nitave knocks me out with the butt of her gun slamming into the back of my head.

I wake up in a cold metal room. I'm strapped to a chair with the fully-awake forms of Maddy, Seth, and Hank also in the room. Kyle is standing, completely unharmed and smiling. Two Nitave soldiers are flanking Kyle, swords drawn.

"So your friends are going to Wisconsin?" Kyle asks us, brandishing a Nitave dagger."I checked Seth's phone and sent Nitaves over there to meet them."

"You did, what?!" Seth yells, rage evident in his voice.

I try to open the ground, but I can't.

"If anyone is wondering why they can't use their powers, it's because I can take them away." Kyle explains.

The sounds of Nitaves being torn apart is heard from outside the door behind Kyle. Then the door is demolished completely and Will leaps inside the room, still in Tiger form. Will pounces onto Kyle and mauls him.

The Nitaves advance on us. Will stops attacking Kyle and begins killing the Nitaves. Kyle only received a badly scratched back from Will's attack. Without Will mauling him, Kyle runs out the room.

"Will, get us out of here!" I yell, urgently when Will finishes annihilating the Nitaves.

Will shapeshifts into a large creature that resembles Bigfoot. He easily breaks our restraints and we stand. Then we swiftly rush outside the room.

A horde of Nitaves round a corner, blasters raised and ready to kill. Seth opens a black hole behind them, sucking them in and leaving us unharmed. We escape from the dangerous Nitave Hospital without any damage to our bodies.

We scurry to the car. I enter the car and fall asleep.
