Alan-
Mathew, Arkeal, Maddy, Seven, Everett, and Persi disappeared into the woods. Now I'm helping defeat Sharkutt's Shiner army. There are at least fifty of them remaining. They're all so powerful and more skilled than us, but I managed to kill three.
A enemy Shiner is hiding behind a tree, he has a Nitave ray gun in his hands. He fires a few lasers at me, which I evade by raising the Earth-blocking it. I send a boulder his way, which he barely manages to dodge. The Shiner charges at me and punches me in the jaw. He pushes the ray gun to my chest and he's about to fire, when Emerina hurls a metal spike into his skull.
He's still alive when he collapses on the ground. Emerina produces a metal spear and impales the boy in the back with it. He screams out in pain and regret spreads across Emerina's face. She chops off the boy's head and wipes away a tear from her face.
"Come on, Alan. Harry's hurt." Emerina tells me, grabbing my wrist and leading me away. She leads me into the woods and at a thin tree. Harry is lying nearby a campfire with his eyes shut. We know he's still alive, because he's still breathing and moving slightly.
"What was damaged?" I ask Emerina as we walk towards Harry.
"His heart, he was stabbed." Emerina informs me, kneeling beside Harry. She strips him of his coat and shirts. She rips off the bandage and I see the wound. I press both hands to the wound and it begins to heal. Harry's eyes open when the wound is gone ten seconds later.
"You're fine, Harry." I tell him. He rises to a sitting position and swiftly puts his shirts and coat back on. Emerina helps him to his feet.
"Is Lucy okay?" He asks us. I think about it for a few seconds. When I last seen Lucy, she was lying on the ground beside Three's unconscious form. Josh was standing over them, guarding them from any attackers.
"I think she's dead," I tell him bluntly. He shifts his gaze to the ground, gripping his hair in frustration and anger. Emerina strokes his back."But Josh was protecting her. Hopefully, he manages to find the healing device to heal her."
Harry sighs angrily and grabs his scythe.
"I'm going to get my sister." Harry says, walking away.
"I'll see you later." Emerina tells me, before walking away with Harry. I'm abandoned in the woods and that's when I see a large, grizzly bear. It lunges for me, roaring loudly. I ignite and it swiftly halts it's charge. The bear remains focused on me, until a dagger speeds into view. The dagger impales the bear's neck. It collapses on the ground, blood flowing from it's wound.
There's a Laotian teenaged girl up ahead, she's probably seventeen or sixteen. This must be Mathew's triplet sister he told me about a few weeks ago. I extinguish my flames and walks over to her.
"I'm Alan, the Great Shiner King." I tell her, extending my hand.
"I'm Okelani. Now we need to hurry, we have to set the trap." She tells me, grabbing my wrist and taking the lead. Okelani takes me to a clearing. Mathew, Maddy, and Seven are hiding behind a cluster of crates. The others are nowhere to be seen.
"So, what's going on?" I ask Okelani.
"Arkeal acted hostile to Seven, so Sharkutt's Shiners won't attack them. It was all part of the plan set up by Mathew-a secret plan. Anyways, where going to use someone as bait to lure the enemy team to us. We're going to use Mathew's weather control ability to create lightning. But first, we have to set up the trap, then I'll tell you the rest." Okelani explains.
Arkeal and Everett emerge from the woods. They're holding a long string of dark green wire. They give it to Okelani and she turns to face a large, tall tree.
"Whose wire is that?" I ask, watching Okelani scale the tree.
"Okelani's." Everett replies. After a few minutes, Okelani reaches the top of the tree. She wraps the wire around the highest branch, then begins her descent. We wait for her, then she continues setting up the trap once she's back on the ground. She stretches the wire across the tree line and various other parts of the clearing.
"Now!" Okelani yells to Mathew. He nods and brings down a lightning bolt. It strikes the wire on the tree and soon, the clearing is humming with the electricity coursing throughout the wire. Seven, who we used as bait, leaps over the hidden wire and enemy Shiners follow closely behind her. The dozens of Shiners are electrocuted to death by the trap, there are at least three dozen of them being zapped.
Their dead bodies fall to the ground, convulsing wildly. We wait for the electricity to die out, before we emerge from our hiding places. We're all laughing in joy at a victory, until we realize that there are still many other Shiners alive.
"Come on, everyone," I say."Let's regroup with the rest."
