Candy Store

You were dragged here. Literally dragged. Why do couples need another person if all they're gonna do is ignore you? I was walking hand in pocket slurping on my blueberry slushy and watching all the stores close up. It was nearly 12 and we were one of the only groups here. I walked to a window of a store and looked at a giant stuffed bear.

"Maybe it'll climb out and go home with you.",a deep voice said. You jumped and turned around seeing Luke behind you.

"Oh god what are you following me?"

"Don't flatter yourself. Plus a guy can't go to the mall?"

You turned around leaning on the glass.

"Usually not alone. They travel in packs."

"Well I'm the alpha."

"You sure its not the omega?"

He gave a small smile.

"What are you doing with them?",he said turning around looking st your friend and her boyfriend who were getting candy from a vending machine.

You only shrugged.

"Come with me.",he said.

You laughed."You? Where would we go?"

"Its a secret.",he said holding out his hand and nodding his head towards the front doors.

"Don't try anything. I have a pocket knife.",you said with a small smile.

He rolled his hand grabbing yours from your side and you smiled as you both ran past the oblivious couple. He held your hand until walking the car door. He unlocked the car and opened it . I raised my brow.

"Chivalry isn't dead.",he said.

"In what dimension?",you smiled getting in.

You watched as he passed tiny shops and little stores until pull in up to a complex.

He parked in front of a brightly lit shop that looked like it was from the 50's with its pink decorations and candy tubes on the walls and in buckets. You giggled.

"A candy store."

"The candy store. I'm buying.",he said getting out the car.

You nodded. He opened the door for you again.

"Are you coming?"

"Of course."

He put out His arm and you wrapped yours around it. Opening the door you smelled nothing but sweetness. Not an exact smell but it was sweet like sugar.

Three minutes in you were both laughing uncontrollably in the candy store. It was so quite that laughing when it was made you laugh harder.

You let out a snort and Luke list it falling on the floor. You laughed almost farting as you held out your hand to pick him up before you were both kicked out for being assumed you were drinking under the influence. After that fiasco you were walking around with him and you came upon a fountain. You grabbed his hand and pulled him to it and he sat on a bench. You were taking a chance and you laid your head on his lap laying down. There were colors inside the fountain fluorescent lights purple,blue,red.

He grabbed your hand and kissed it. Holding it while bringing it to tour stomach. You were in deep.

It was the worst timing. When your phone rang you ignored it. But it kept ringing and again so finally on you just answered it.

"Hello?",you said glumly.

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU!? ME AND KALEB HAVE BEEN WORRIED SICK YOU JUST DISAPPEARED!"

"I'm fine. I'm in my way home so don't worry about me."

You hung up and sat up.

"Are we going?",he asked.

You shook your head and laid back down opening your bag and grabbing his hand again.

"Gummy?"
