"Well fuck you too asshole!",you screamed.

He flipped you off and slammed the door to your shared bedroom.

You pulled a cigarette from the box as you caught your daughter watching you from upstairs between the bars.

Your face warmed with heat as you turned on your lighter and brought it close to you. It burned the bottom of your cigarette and you breathed in.

"Come here baby.",you said so Calum wouldn't come back out.

She slowly stood up and started taking one step at a time with her bear grasped tightly in her arms.

She came into the light of the lamp that lit beside you and you pointed to the couch that was across from you. She looked over at it and slowly walked over to it climbing on top of it. She wore an Ariel night gown with her hair in two high buns. Her curls popping out from being asleep and moving around.

She was only five.

"Listen to mommy when I tell you this. You are going to find someone you love. Got that?",you said blowing out smoke while looking at the adolescent.

She nodded.

"Now what you do know is that you're gonna find love. They don't tell you what size race or gender. If you love them the shit doesn't even matter. Me and your dad are what you call a-"

"Amanda come back up stairs.",Calum said from upstairs.

He had his arms crossed and a pained but stern look on his face. Amanda turned around pinching her toes then looking back at me.

"But daddy-"

"No but's baby girl you need to sleep.",he said coming downstairs and picking her up.

"Mommy gets a kiss goodnight.",she said reaching her arms out for you.

He bent her down to kiss your cheek and you kissed her soft skin.

You're cigarette had burned out. And Amanda lay in bed. Calum closed her door softly and released the knob hearing a click sound at its security. He slowly took one stair at a time as you pushed the apple of your cigarette firmly against the glass ash tray.

He looked at you with his tongue pressed against the side of his mouth.

"I could just strangle you.",he said.

You looked up with a small smile.

"Do the world a favor why don't you?",you chuckled.

He walked towards you as you tried to stand up. Your heels went to the left while your direction was to the right and you found yourself falling. He caught you by your waist and didn't let you go.

"You are going to stop this shit."

"Oh fuck off.",you grumbled.

"You are a mother and a wife. You can't do this not to Amy. Not to me. Okay? Not to yourself or so god help me-"

"God help you what? Where has he been. We're getting killed while his ass sits on a golden chair or some clouds and shit listening to harps. Ass couldn't even help a fucking bug."

"God so help me I will send you to rehab.",he said.

"No. I'm not going."

"Then stop."

"No! I'm not a puppet asshole! You got me pregnant okay!? I was only 18. I'm 23! I am still in college but I have to fucking come home to a husband that doesn't even want me and a kid that reminds of how much of a failure I really am!"
