Chapter 48

"I am dating Anna" I repeat and Beau's eyes narrow as he sits up in his chair. His fist clench around the arm rest as his eyes remain on me.

Luke and Jai both burst into laughter.

"Ahaha funny joke Daniel", Jai laughs.

"Like we would believe Anna would fall for you", Luke playfully hits Jai's arms as he laughs along with his brother.

I ignore Luke's comment and glance over at Beau. He doesn't seem to find my confession very funny. Not one percent amusing. He is focus on me but I cannot read his expression.

"Daniel what the fuck did you just say to me, because I really hope I heard you wrong", he speaks through his teeth. His body language terrifies me.

"I am dating Anna", I say slow, really slow after clearing my throat.

"I don't believe you", Beau says.

Trust me Beau I don't want you to believe me.

"Daniel are you being serious", Luke's tone becomes more serious.

Beau rises from his chair and take a step forward. I gulp down the lump rising in my throat as he takes another step forward. My pulse at this point is racing along with my mind. The tension has risen in the room. My breathing is unsteady and I am shaking on the inside. I feel sick to my stomach. He isn't going to hurt me. I am his best friend. I have done nothing wrong. He won't hurt me.

"That isn't a very funny joke!", his tone raises.

"I am telling the truth even ask James", I defend.

James eyes widen as Beau turns to him. His hands throw up in front of him as he looks like he is defending himself from Beau.

"Are you telling me you fucking knew this whole time and kept this from me", his lips press in a line as his fist clench by his side.

Jai rises to his feet, "Beau calm down can you least let them further explain", he says standing in front of Beau.

"James! Answer me!", Beau shouts.

"It is true. He is the one dating Anna", James speaks softly almost afraid to speak.

"You fucking bastard!", Beau shouts throwing himself at me. My eyes widen as Jai grabs a hold of his shirt pushing him off of me.

"It is bad enough this prick kept the truth from us but you knew and you didn't have the courage to tell me! What friend do I have here?".

"Beau listen I tried telling you many times trust me but Anna didn't want me to!", I shout.

"He is right! Anna wouldn't even let me tell you guys!", James defends.

"James I will deal with you later but right now I advise you to leave!", he shouts as his eyes remain on me.

"No I am not leaving!", James says.

"If you know what is good for you, you would leave fucking right now!", he glares at James waiting for him to exist the room.

James' eyes flicker to the door before back to me.

I give him the okay nod to leave. James does not deserve to get hurt because he is not the one the boys should be mad at right now. Once James' exist the room I then realize how stupid it was of me to let him leave. He is the only one on my side here. I take a step back towards the door.

"How long has this been going on for?", Luke asks.

I take a deep breath before answering.

"7 and a half months", I say slow and soft.
