Chapter 45

Daniel's POV
I take a deep breath trying to control my unsteady breathing. I can't believe that just happened. The angry behind his eyes. I have never seen Beau so furious before. It looked like he was going to rip my head off and I am surprised he didn't. "Fuck", I shout slamming my fist against my front door. I can't believe that just happened. I had the chance to come clean about everything, instead I lied to him. I lied straight to Beau's face. I told him I wasn't seeing Anna. Of course I can't come clean about sleeping with her but I could have at least told him I am dating her. For fuck sakes. I can't believe Beau actually believed me. He was so determined charging inside my house. It was terrifying. I was scared that would be the last breathe I would ever take. The emotion behind his eyes as his hands wrapped around the fabric of my shirt. Thank goodness I wore a shirt to sleep because then his would have been around my neck. I can't believe I was able to change his frame of mind. I take a deep breathe in then out trying to calm myself. I feel like I am about to vomit. My heart is beating against my chest so fast it is hard to breathe.

I quickly run up my stairs into my bedroom. I need to call Anna and tell her what just happened. I don't care how risking it is but I meed to hear her voice to help calm me down. I find my phone in between my sheets and quickly dial her number. I pace back and forth in my room waiting for her to answer. Ring... Ring.. Ring.. Anna fucking pick up!

"Hello".

"Anna!", my tone of voce louder than I expected when she answers.

"Daniel what's wrong?", her voice is clearly panicked by my respond.

"B-Beau just fucking showed up here... He found out Anna", I try to make sense of the situation but my mind is racing. I am shaking, I don't know what to do.

"Calm down you need to explain everything!".

"Anna he came fucking charging into my house and slammed me up against the wall! He started yelling at me-".

"That's where he went!", her voice is soft but concerned.

"What did he say?", she stutters on her words.

"He accused me of sleeping with you", I tell her and the other side of the phone remains silent.

"Anna".

"Anna are you there", I quietly speak.

I hear a small whimper escapes her lips. "Daniel.... Did he hurt you", she cries softly. I feel my heart break inside. I wish I was with her right now. I would wrap my arms around her tightly, and hold her close. I would tell her everything will be okay and pretend I was not filing scared to shit I was about to get murdered not even moments ago.

"No Anna. I made sure he walked out of my house knowing we aren't seeing each other... I feel like a dick lying to him. Anna he came to me with the truth and I lied straight to his face. He is never going to forgive me when he finds out the truth".

"He- He can't. He can't find out the truth.... Daniel he came over to your house...", She pauses taking a deep breath. "Are you sure he didn't hurt you".

"Yes but I knew if I didn't stand up for myself he would have".

"I can't let that happen. Daniel what happens when he found out you lied to him. What if he hurts you for real".

"What, you think he is going to pull on me what he did to Logan?".

"It is possible! Beau isn't afraid of anyone. He will remove anything and anyone that comes into my life. I don't want to see you getting hurt".

"He can't just do that it isn't fair!".
"I know", she sighs.

"I am not going to get hurt".

"We don't know that".

"Anna... What are you saying?".

"I just don't want you to get hurt".

"He won't hurt me"

"Daniel considering what he just did-".

"Is there something missing... I feel like you are trying to tell me something here".

"I just don't want to end up with you in a hospital okay", she whispers but in almost a shout.

"I am coming... I have to go", she mumbles and I can hear Jai's voice in the background.

"Bye... I love you".

"Bye", she quietly whispers before hanging up.

Moments later I receive a text message on my phone for Anna.
* I love you* the message reads.
