~Lucifer~
I didn't know what was happening to me. Why the hell did I just let Sam go without any form of violence used against him?
Maybe his hangover was torturous enough. But that wasn't how I worked things. When I set my eyes on someone to hurt physically and mentally for as long as possible, I made it my life-mission to ruin their lives...not just let them walk away because they had a rough night.
No. I didn't let Sam walk away. I...I tricked him. Yeah, I tricked him into thinking I was getting soft but, little does he know, the next time I see him I will show him what real pain is.
In fact, why wait?
Patience wasn't one of my strong points so I immediately teleported myself to their apartment and, luckily, Dean and Castiel were nowhere to be seen. Only Sam was here. Perfect.
Sam was typing something on his laptop which was set on the table. He almost gasped when he saw me and then gave me a questioning look.
"Lucifer", Sam stood up with a more welcoming voice than usual, "What is it? I was just with you ten minutes ago".
I decided to play this off calmly for now. However, that wouldn't last too long of course.
"I just got bored", I shrugged casually, advancing closer towards him. He didn't back away for once, "I thought I'd stop by for a few minutes or so. How's your head?"
Sam frowned at me with confusion at my normality.
"Uh, it's okay", Sam nodded slightly, watching me curiously as I closed the distance between us by taking a few more steps closer, "Yeah, uh, Dean has disappeared and so has Cas. I was going to go and look for them but-"
I suddenly grabbed his shirt collar and slammed him against the wall and he groaned with pain and shock.
"You're not going anywhere, Sam", I warned him, clenching his collar with my fist, "Weren't you listening to me? I'm bored. We're gonna have some fun".
Sam inhaled deeply, struggling for breath and I finally let go. I grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back, forcing him over to another wall and pressing him against it, his face turned. I produced a knife in my hands and pressed the cold steel against his cheek and he shut his eyes, breathing heavily.
"I'm flattered, Sam. I really am", I told him, "I love that you're learning to respect me in the way I deserve. Believe me, it's a change from your usual silent treatment. But, no matter how much you try to casual-talk me, it doesn't mean I have to pay you the same respect".
In one fluent motion, I swung the knife from his cheek, leaving a small but deep cut, and pressed the point a few centre metres into his back. He yelled out in pain.
"I was never really one for conversation anyway", I released the knife and smiled in delight as I watched the blood trickle down his back, "Sorry I ruined your shirt. Although I did prefer the red one. Really brings out your eyes".
Sam tried to swivel around to strike me but I twisted his arm around more which resulted in the bones making a beautiful clicking sound. Sam gritted his teeth and tried not to show his agony. He was failing miserably.
"Why are you doing this?" Sam gasped out, "Why do you get so much pleasure out of torturing me?"
"Because, Sam", I started, moving my face close to his so that I could speak in his ear, "I love being the one who makes you scream".
"I'm not scared of you", Sam clearly lied.
"Oh, really?" I asked with mock-surprise.
I let go of his arm and he sighed with relief. How sweet. He thought it was over.
Grabbing the back of his shoulders, I spun him around and pushed his chest back against the wall. He looked at me with those puppy eyes of his. No. That wasn't going to work on me. I watched him with intrigue as his pleading eyes soon turned to rage.
"You're weak", Sam spat out with anger, "You used to be so clever in the way that you hurt me. It was never just about physical violence. You always got in my head. But, really, this is the least you could do to me. Wounds heal, Lucifer. So hurt me all you want".
A few seconds of intense glaring passed between us before I grabbed his shirt and threw him to the ground. Before he could get up, I sat down on his waist and punched him roughly in the face.
"Well, thanks for giving me your blessing", I smiled sarcastically at him.
I lost count of how many times I struck him in the face but soon, when I noticed that he wasn't reacting anymore, I stopped and stared at him with confusion. I looked down at his non-moving body and realised that Sam had passed out. I got off of his waist and stood up, smiling satisfactorily at him. But soon my smile faded and secret pain hid behind it but I didn't know why.
I sighed as I acknowledged the beaten and bloodied hunter on the floor and suddenly felt...guilt. I quickly teleported myself away because I couldn't stand to look at him any longer.
Sam Winchester was going to be the death of me one day.
