~Sam~
"So, it was definitely Gabriel?"
Lucifer had teleported me away temporarily to talk about him seeing his brother again. That was another one we could add to the list of undead people.
"Definitely", Lucifer replied, "I can see his real appearance, remember?"
I was expecting things to be slightly awkward between us because of what happened at the swimming pool centre but everything just felt so casual.
"Well, is this a good thing or a bad thing?" I asked.
"It's good", Lucifer smiled lightly to himself, "I have my brother back. Sure, it was the brother that I murdered but he's back now. It's definitely a good thing".
I nodded slightly, watching Lucifer's genuine smile with amusement.
"I've got to get back", I informed him, sighing, "Dean has practically put me on house-arrest".
Everything was going okay. But then something weird happened.
"Alright", Lucifer replied understandingly, "See you later".
Without even thinking about it, as if by some sort of unspoken instinct, Lucifer and I connected lips in a peck form for one short second as a way of goodbye. It was the type of kiss you gave someone after leaving off for work. The kind of kiss that people in relationships gave each other. We both realised and glanced at each other awkwardly.
"I don't know why I just did that", I spoke quietly, mostly to myself.
"Me neither", Lucifer looked just as confused as I did.
"Obviously it was only because of what happened before", I quickly made an excuse, "Just an accident".
"Right", Lucifer agreed, looking doubtful, "Obviously".
Lucifer was watching me with a curious gaze. I stared back questioningly.
"What?" I asked defensively.
"Nothing", Lucifer shrugged, still not looking away.
"You don't think..."
"What?"
"Nothing. I just-"
"What?" Lucifer persisted.
"I don't know", I murmured, looking down at the ground.
"For goodness sake, Sam!" Lucifer suddenly near-shouted and I looked at him, taken aback by his sudden change in attitude, "Just say what it is! Why do you always have to lie to yourself?"
"Hey, don't start getting mad at me", I argued back, "You can't yell at me".
"I can do whatever the hell I want", Lucifer snapped, looking irritated for some reason.
"Fine", I pretended not to care, "Do what you want. Why would you listen to me anyway?"
"Because you don't get to tell me what to do", Lucifer said stubbornly, "So, just stop ordering me around like you're in charge. If anyone's bossing anyone around here, it's me".
"You're so full of yourself", I insulted him, accusingly, "You think everyone listens to you because they respect you? No. They listen to you because they're scared of you. But here's a newsflash-you don't threaten me at all, Lucifer. I've gotten used to your ways of screwing up my life now which is exactly what you have done. You've ruined my entire life. I hate you".
"Oh, yeah? Well, I hate you too!"
"Good!" I shouted.
"Yeah".
"Fine".
"Fine!"
Suddenly, Lucifer's arms slammed into my chest as he pushed me up against the wall before crashing his lips into mine. I violently kissed him back, grabbing the back of his head and pulling his hair. He pulled back and stared up angrily into my eyes.
"I still hate you", I muttered quietly.
"Sure you do", Lucifer said quickly before returning back to my lips.
