~Lucifer~

Once I had teleported away, I ran my hands through my drenched hair. I had landed in the middle of a street with a row of shopping centres on the edge. Some stores were already hanging up Christmas decorations, even though it was only the start of November.

Everywhere was closed because it was late at night. A strange man with floppy blond hair who was leaning against a brick wall shook his head with a small smile before approaching me.

"Mate, I can't let you walk around like that without telling you", he spoke with a cockney accent and laughed slightly, "Someone's obviously having a laugh".

I frowned at him with confusion until he pulled something off of my back and handed it to me. It was a sticky note.

"Oh", I stared down at it, "Thanks".

"No worries", he nodded at me before leaving.

The note had no writing on it, or so I thought, before I turned it over and was greeted by two hand-written words.

Look up.

Questioningly, I tilted my head up but the only things in view were the stars in the sky. When I looked back down at the note, as if by magic, there were new words written down.

Now turn around.

I hesitantly did so but, again, nothing suspicious was around. I should've expected it but it still took me by surprise when the note had rewritten itself yet again.

Last one: Kneel down and inspect the ground very carefully.

Getting irritated by the instructions, I knelt down and stared at the ground for a few seconds but obviously nothing happened. For the last time, I looked back at the note and stood up.

Only kidding :) Just wanted to make you look stupid.

I sighed and rolled my eyes, crumpling up the stupid note in my hands and tossing it over my shoulder carelessly. The same man who came over to me before advanced towards me again. Come to think of it, I didn't even know he was still here.

"Mate, I can't let you walk around like that without telling you. Someone's obviously having a laugh".

I watched his neutral expression and furrowed my eyebrows.

"Yeah, you said that already", I reminded him slowly.

As if everything just reversed and happened again, the man pulled something else off my back and handed me another note. I turned it over again and read it with frustration.

Sorry, Luci. You, of all people, knew I could never resist a good...trick ;)

I ripped it in half and pushed the man out of the way, hurriedly walking out of this random street. I kept shaking my head, trying to convince myself it was someone else. It had to be someone else, anyone else.

"Oi!" the same cockney man came running over to me, grabbing my wet shirt and pulling me back.

I turned to face him angrily. He had a pathetic grin on his face.

"You could've thanked me", he said and I couldn't figure out why he was smirking.

As he was annoying me, I decided to get rid of him. Besides, I was feeling stressed out for reasons that I couldn't explain. It wasn't him. It couldn't be him.

Lifting my right hand, I clicked my fingers and waited for him to explode into a pool of blood and crushed bones. He remained standing there, still whole and living. I clicked my fingers again with disbelief but he just wouldn't die.

"Trying to kill me again?" he asked, his smirk turning more mocking than friendly before he added, "Brother?"

Right before my very eyes, the man's blond hair shortened and turned brown. His facial features changed dramatically until they looked all too familiar.

I exhaled shakily, staring down the person in front of me.

"Gabriel?"
