~Dean~
Cas and I left my room and, thankfully, Sam hadn't disappeared on us again. He gave us both a suspicious look.
"Everything okay?" Sam asked.
"Better than okay", I replied happily, looking at Cas and smiling nervously, "Sam, I think you need to know the truth about the...matter of the...bedroom happenings-"
Cas kicked my foot subtly and I swallowed hard, only just realising that I had absolutely no idea how to word this out properly. I looked at Cas desperately for help.
"Guys, what's going on?" Sam abandoned his laptop and sat up properly with a serious expression.
I could tell that Cas was concentrating on thinking about what to say.
"Basically, um, I, uh, we..." I stuttered, "I'm not back with Lisa".
"Dean, I'm so sorry", Sam misunderstood, "What happened? Did she leave after this morning?"
"No, Sam", I shook my head, "She didn't leave".
"Wait. She's still here?" Sam asked with confusion, looking at my bedroom door with concern.
"No!" I quickly said, "She didn't leave because she was never here".
"Then why did Cas tell me she was?" Sam questioned.
"I lied", Cas admitted, looking guiltily to the ground.
"But if Lisa wasn't in your room then who was?"
Cas and I shared a look and, for a moment, I thought that Sam was going to work it out for himself but he still seemed clueless to the situation.
"I've been seeing someone for a short while", I shakily told Sam, prepared to tell him.
"That's great, Dean", Sam congratulated me, "Who?"
I took a few seconds to steady myself before saying the next sentence.
"It's Cas", I announced, watching Sam's reaction with worry.
Sam was quiet for a second and his face remained neutral. It took Cas and I both by immense surprise when Sam triumphantly punched the air and quickly brought out his phone. He was...texting? He was celebrating and texting?
"What are you doing?" I asked with disbelief and bewilderment.
"You both have just won me $50", Sam smiled enthusiastically to himself.
It turned out Sam wasn't texting. He was, in fact, dialling. Cas and I were still baffled when he started talking on the phone.
"Charlie?" Sam asked, a wide smile still on his face, "I win the bet. They told me so pay up".
I quickly grabbed the phone off of him and gave him a hard stare.
"What the hell?" I asked Sam, "You've been...betting on us? Did Charlie tell you?"
"No, I figured it out by myself", Sam smirked, looking at both of us knowingly, "You two were being so obvious. When Cas told me about Lisa, I played along. I thought I'd keep congratulating you until you finally cracked and admitted it. Charlie bet that you wouldn't tell me for another week".
I glared at Sam and then looked back at Cas.
"Can you believe this?" I asked with outrage, "He's been making money off of something that has been keeping me up at night, keeping me worrying about confessing every day".
I turned back to Sam.
"And you knew all along?" I shook my head angrily.
Sam's smile faded.
"Oh, wow, I'm sorry", Sam apologised sincerely, "I didn't realise it was causing you so much stress. I was just really excited about you two".
I kept my furious expression for a few more seconds before breaking the act and bursting out laughing. Sam shook his head at me with a smile.
"Sammy, I'm just glad that you're not mad or something", I sighed with relief.
"Why would I be mad?" Sam laughed, "I've been wanting you two to finally stop messing around and get together for years! It's about time!"
Sam grinned at the both of us before grabbing the keys to the Impala.
"I just remembered", Sam faked, "I have to, uh, be somewhere. So, I guess that leaves you two alone".
"Shut up", I nudged his shoulder but quickly gave him an appreciative smile before he walked to the door, "Oh, and Sam?"
He turned around and looked at me expectantly.
"You're giving me half of that money", I demanded.
"No way in hell!" Sam called out before quickly running out of the door before I could protest.
I turned around to Cas and he was smiling happily.
"That wasn't so bad, wasn't it?" Cas asked.
Advancing towards him, I slipped my arms around his waist and underneath his trench coat.
"I should have listened to you", I sighed apologetically.
"Yes", Cas agreed, "At least now you know that I'm always right about these things".
"If you say so".
Our lips connected and I felt Cas smiling against my mouth.
