~Lucifer~

I smiled with satisfaction when Sam continued walking.

"Good dog", I patted his shoulder jokingly and he shot me a glare.

"How far are we going?" Sam huffed stressfully.

"Just a little longer", I said.

"My legs are-"

"Stop your whining and suck it up", I ordered, "Honestly, with all the things you and your brother do, I never would've thought a walk would be your weak point".

"It's not the walking that tires me", Sam muttered irritably, "It's you".

"Come on, Sam!" I laughed enthusiastically, speeding up my pace, "Let yourself have fun for once. You're on a walking trip with an archangel. Think of all the unfortunate people out there who haven't had the privilege of meeting me".

"Lucky people", Sam retorted.

About half an hour passed and I was enjoying watching Sam lose his patience.

"Up every morning just to keep a job, I gotta find my way through the hustling mob", I sang loudly, knowing that it was annoying the hell out of Sam, "The sounds of the city pounding in my brain while another day goes down the drain".

Once I had got to the holiday harmony, Sam groaned dramatically.

"Lucifer, shut up", Sam pleaded.

I was quiet for roughly ten seconds before another song came into my head.

"It was the heat of the moment-"

"No", Sam quickly stopped me, "Not that song".

"Why?"

"I just really don't like that song", Sam shivered, "Are we here yet?"

"Nope", I smiled with amusement.

"We've been walking for nearly an hour", Sam complained, "Where even is this shapeshifter?"

"Okay, so I have a tiny confession to make", I admitted guiltily.

"What is it?" Sam sighed, probably preparing for another sarcastic remark.

"There isn't a shapeshifter here. I made it up", I told him, letting out a laugh, "Funny, right? I really had you going there!"

Sam froze and his glare was even colder than usual.

"You..." Sam paused and he had so much anger in his voice, "You did what?!"

"I needed to figure out a way to get you to come with me", I explained, "So, I made up the job".

Suddenly, Sam grabbed my shirt collar and threw me against a brick wall. I tilted my head and smirked with amusement, loving his violent side.

"You're telling me that you just made me walk a whole hour, listening to you singing crappy songs-"

"Hey, The Rogues are a great band", I interrupted him defensively.

"Shut. Up", Sam closed his eyes frustratedly, "Just shut up for once. It would do everyone a favour".

Sam's grip on my shoulders that were holding me against the wall tightened. I grabbed his wrists and sniggered almost psychotically.

"I highly recommend that you stop being such a jackass", I said with a smug smile, slightly digging my fingernails into his wrists, "Or not. Just make up your damn mind".

"What are you even talking about?" Sam finally released me and I let go of his wrists.

"You're either attempting to beat the shit out of me or you're making jokes around me", I straightened out my shirt, "I swear, I'm getting a whiplash from your mood changes. You on your man period or something?"

"There's no change", Sam argued with outrage, "I've always hated you and I always will. But, now that you bring it up, you need to change your game as well!"

"Go on, then", I sighed, sensing a new insult, "Yell at me for a while if it'll help you sleep at night".

"You say that I'm the one who keeps changing my mood", Sam ignored my comments.

I yawned and prepared for Sam to shout at me.

"You know what? Forget it", Sam snapped and began storming off.

"Oh, no. Sam, come back. I'm begging you, please", I called out sarcastically.

Sam carried on walking away and I didn't bother to catch up with him.
