~Dean~

Sighing miserably and finishing off my beer, I tried to drift my thoughts away from Cas. After I went into the bathroom, I walked back out and he was just gone. I couldn't blame him.

Frowning at my empty beer can, my eyes darted around to room to find the pack Sam had bought. Damn it, where did he put it? Surely he didn't take it in his room with him?

Groaning frustratedly, I stood up from my chair and made my way over to Sam's door. My hand reached the handle and I swung it open, oblivious for a short moment.

"Sammy, do you know where the-"

I almost choked on my words when I saw. Suddenly, my entire body froze still and I was finding it increasingly hard to breathe.

It was Lucifer...kissing my brother. I didn't even know how to react. They both stared at me, looking worried. He had a damn reason to be worried, manipulating my brother. That son of a...

Eyes widened with fury, I speedily approached the bed and grabbed Lucifer aggressively by the shirt, throwing him against the wall with a considerable amount of force. He didn't look threatened. In fact, for a second I thought I saw him smile.

"I am going to rip your throat out", I spoke slowly and meaningfully through gritted teeth, jumping to conclusions.

A hand grabbed my shoulder gently.

"Dean", Sam's voice pleaded from behind me.

When I turned my head to look at him, I couldn't understand why Sam looked so defensive and panicked. Obviously Lucifer had put some kind of mind spell on him.

"Sammy, it's okay", I reassured him, pain in my eyes, "I'm gonna kill him and you'll be back to normal. What does he have on you?"

"Dean-"

"It doesn't even matter", I shook my head, violently turning back to that smug son of a bitch pinned up against the wall, "You're gonna have a slow and painful death either way. Believe me, I'll make sure of that".

"Maybe you should quit being such an obnoxious asshole and listen to your brother for once", Lucifer sneered with a form of hatred.

"What did you just say to me?" I squinted, tightening the grip on his shirt.

"Dean", Sam said again, this time even louder and more frustrated.

Sam walked into my vision, trying to stand between Lucifer and I. Expectantly, I waited for him to talk. Sam seemed to be struggling to get his words out.

"Look, I know this must be..." Sam considered his next word carefully, "weird. But I'm not under any kind of spell. I promise".

"He was forcing you then?" I asked hopefully, "Mind manipulation? Just anything but-"

"Free will", Sam confirmed and I squeezed my eyes shut for a few seconds, not wanting to believe it, "My decision. No tricks".

"But..."

"Dean, just relax", Sam warned wearily, anxiously eyeing Lucifer who I still had against the wall.

Turning back to face Lucifer with outrage and confusion, I released him in a fluent motion and decided that I didn't want to even touch him unless it was my fist connecting with his face. Ignoring Lucifer for a second, I studied Sam's expression carefully.

"Please tell me that this is some kind of sick joke", I begged him, almost shaking with anger, "A misunderstanding".

Sam looked down at his feet and worked up the courage to look me back straight in the eyes. He inhaled heavily and braced himself.

"This isn't the first time", Sam revealed before riskily adding, "and it's not the last".

I didn't speak. Sam watched me worriedly, desperate for a response but all I gave him was complete shocked silence.

"Please say something", Sam pleaded.

"I'm just figuring out how many times I should punch you in the face", I told Sam truthfully, "This might just be the stupidest thing you've ever done".

"You're not touching him", Lucifer stood in between us defensively.

"No", I shook my head at him with a cold and dark smile, "You don't get to do that. You don't get to act like you care about him...you bastard".

Lucifer folded his arms and gave me a challenging expression, urging me to say more.

"I'm gonna throw you back in that damn cage, do you hear me?" I took a threatening step forward, "You'd be an idiot to ever come back here, considering what I've got planned for you. So, you either leave and never harass my brother again or you go out the hard way".

Lucifer laughed mockingly, looking me up and down with spite. He turned to Sam and shot him a quick wink before disappearing into thin air.

"You can tell the truth now", I told Sam, praying that he was really only saying that on Lucifer's behalf.

"Dean, I told you", Sam sighed, "It's the truth".

Shaking my head fiercely, I glared at him and my jaw tightened.

"You stupid son of a bitch", I spat.

"Dean, I'm-"

"No", I dismissed him, walking past and purposely elbowing his shoulder on the way.

At the doorframe, I paused and turned my head back to look at him. My fist clenched tightly by my side. I just had one more question.

"Are you going to see him again?" I asked, holding my breath.

Sam avoided eye contact uncomfortably, fiddling with his jacket zipper.

"Yes".

With disbelief, I nodded to myself, desperately trying to calm myself down before I ended up knocking him out or something.

"Then you just need to stay away from me", I warned him before slamming the bedroom door in his face.
