On the way to this pizza place Dean was talking about, Dean played another good song which he told me was called Eye of the Tiger.

Once Dean and I had exited the car to walk into the pizza place, Dean chose a table and we sat opposite each other.

"Okay, Cas, are you ready for the best thing you'll ever eat in your life?" Dean asked when he had ordered a large Hawaiian pizza for us but then he reconsidered, "Except for pie of course".

"Why does everyone love pizza?" I asked with intrigue.

"Well, there's an endless variety of toppings", Dean explained, "There's pepperoni, extra cheese, chillies, ham with-okay, look, I can't do this anymore. I can't just talk about friggin' pizza toppings when something else that we both know is on my mind".

I sighed, hoping that Dean would something forget about it and we would move on.

"Like you said, I was confused", I told him, not looking him in the eyes.

"Right", Dean watched me unsurely, "But Cas-"

"Dean, it was a mistake", I repeated his own words back to him straight after he nearly kissed me the first time in the impala.

"Listen, I'm trying to tell you something", Dean pleaded but I stopped him.

"And so am I", I replied quickly before he could continue, "It was nothing. I guess I was just craving human contact. It wasn't anything personal".

Dean nodded slowly, playing with a napkin on the table.

"Yeah", Dean murmured, looking at the napkin, "Exactly what I was gonna say. It was just the heat of the moment".

Dean looked up at me when I didn't respond and I nodded quickly.

"I hope Sam is okay", Dean sighed, changing the subject.

"Lucifer wouldn't kill him", I told him, "Sam's too valuable right now".

A man on the table near us turned and stared at us with wide eyes and disbelief. I can't blame him. Our conversation must sound ridiculous to normal people.

"Uh, we're talking about a TV show", Dean faked a smile at him.

Still looking weary, he turned back to the woman opposite him.

The waitress came over to our table with the large pizza and placed it down on the surface. She also had something else with her. She set down a small silver tray with one piece of candy on it.

"What's this?" Dean asked.

"Someone anonymously sent it over", the waitress replied with a friendly smile before leaving.

Dean held the piece of candy in his hand and shrugged before unwrapping it. Just before he could throw it into his mouth, I thought fast and swatted it out of his hand, making it fly onto the shocked man's table next to us.

"He's sorry", Dean glared at me when the man shook his head at us with outrage, "It was an accident".

"No, it wasn't", I corrected Dean, "I meant to do that".

"He's just pulling your leg", Dean forced a grin.

"My hands are nowhere near that man's legs", I squinted at Dean, confused.

"Cas, shut up", Dean hissed through gritted teeth before turning to the man again, "We apologise".

The man exhaled with fury before moaning about us to his companion.

"Dude, what the hell was that?" Dean asked in a hushed whisper.

"Never accept a gift from a stranger", I warned Dean.

Dean looked saddened by the loss of his free food but a smile made its way onto his face when his eyes landed on the pizza in front of us.

"Alright, are you ready for this?" Dean stared at me intensely.

I frowned as I took a slice and held it in front of my face. It didn't look like anything special. I didn't understand the excitement.

Dean watched me dramatically as I took my first bite. My eyes grew wide and Dean smirked at my reaction.

"I have never felt delight like this before", I stared at the pizza heavenly before eating more.

"Told you", Dean smiled satisfactorily before grabbing a slice of his own, "The next thing I gotta show you is pig 'n a poke. But they only sell them on Tuesdays".
